in my own words: i like to hike, see movies, go to the theater/museums, read (big fan of sunday's nyt), listen to npr, walk/hike/play w/ my dog (a rescue from a shelter/adopted 2 years ago), take road trips, spend time w/ friends from all walks of life (childhood, camp, college, etc), travel, water/snowski, camp, go to farmer's markets/street fairs, work w/ kids, have good/real conversation, etc. - i also love carrot cake, prefer to type in all lowercase, and i especially love the rain (seriously).

some tv shows i like: 30 rock, er (still so sad it's over), lost, documentaries, & lots of basketball.

other stuff: i'm a left-handed product of liberal/progressive midwestern right-handed parents and was lucky enough to somehow manage to have a grounded/unpretentious upbringing in west los angeles (we moved here from MN when i was 3). i have great parking karma (random, i know, but true), i love to learn from and with people/experiences, i think the notion of playfulness in everyday life is vastly underrated, and i've lived on both coasts and in between (LA, the midwest, DC, NYC) and hold parts of each of these places in every fiber of my being (although i really am much more of an east coast girl at heart).
