I LOVE cold weather, have a great sense of humor, and usually have a smile on my face and have fun at whatever I am doing. I love to laugh and it is often at my own expense as I don't take myself too seriously. I enjoy being around others who have a similar outlook. I have a long list of things I enjoy doing and try to look at every day as an opportunity to grow and become a better person.

Intelligence is critical in a relationship, even friendships. I actually prefer dating someone who is more intelligent than I am because it gives me an opportunity to constantly learn. Consequently, if correct usage of the English language is difficult for you, we would not be compatible. I am attracted to a very specific type of man and THE most important trait to me is intellectual compatibility. Since I have mentioned that I am drawn to a particular type of man, let me add here a couple of personal preferences: Size DOES matter - I tend to prefer tall men, but that's not carved in stone. {Don't get self-conscious - it's a joke). Also, I really prefer not to be around someone who smokes. (That one is pretty concrete.) One other thing, if you are a man in you forties or more and consider "girls" in their early twenties as fair game, I'm not the woman for you.

One thing that I have learned (the hard way) is that people are often not as they represent themselves. There seems to exist a general lack of honor and integrity among many. Oftentimes, honesty and morality are not even considerations. These are qualities which I not only value, but try to live by so, it is important to me to find them in a partner. I am neither angry nor bitter, just pragmatic.

Although, I am a firm believer in always trying to respect the political and spiritual beliefs of others, I love a good debate because I always feel as though I have learned something. There is a huge difference between debate and arguing.

CRITICAL UPDATE: This may sound harsh but sadly, in light of a recent date, I feel I must add the following to my profile:

It is NOT okay to grope me, drag me into dark spaces to "make out," or obsessively talk about my breasts. If you are juvenile enough to engage in such behavior, I reserve the right to be unlady-like enough to tell that you are a pathetic loser. I didn't date boys with a 15-year-old's mentality when I was 15; I have no intention of starting 30 years later. If you have read this and think that this behavior is funny or an acceptable way to treat a woman, DO NOT contact me. It is not flattering for either of us; it is repulsive.

FYI: I really dislike talking on the phone, therefore, DO NOT HAVE ONE!

I LOVE baseball. Going to a game would be a great date.
