About Me
Hello....my name is Michael.

The short version?....ok. "I'm an emotional, deeply loyal, honorable man looking for a commitment. Intelligent, fit, loves the sensual touch and all things directly connected to that." There it is short, to the point and not even vaguely off color either I might say. The somewhat longer, bit more detailed version follows below. I believe between the two ends of the spectrum of information laid out here for you to consider that, well, hopefully you will "get me". Smiling here as I type these words thinking "that would make things so much easier". So let's give it a try....making it easier that is...getting me.

The longer version starts a few years back when I went down a new professional path which allowed me to choose when and where I work if I want to work, or allows me time to pursue new professional interests, or to travel or to find the "life company" I seek. Since you are reading this, obviously you know what I decided to do first. At this time in my life, I have both the time and resources to travel or relocate for the one I seek, and distance isn't a problem for me which is said to eliminate that as a possible problem for you. I try to be efficient. Can you work with that for a while?

Close friends of mine will all tell you I'm an intelligent, humorous, very direct and honest type person. One with principles and a person that can be counted on. My Grandmother once told me I had a smile "that tells folks about the finely tuned sense of humor behind it." ....you tell me. Also, let me tell you that my basic relationship philosophy is monogamous and I believe in treating the lady in my life as I would want her to treat me. Easy to say...harder to deliver...but a true story none the less.

Small children are drawn to me and I enjoy their company. Have you noticed the "little folks" always seem to be able to detect both friendly souls and those that aren't so friendly? They are very good at that....highly tuned. Over the years I have learned much about human behavior and detecting negative people as a result of hanging out with them. They are very special to me.

My tastes in music are varied. They run from the classic album titles the big name Rock groups put out 1965-1972 frame such as Zeppelin, The Doors, The Stones, Dylan, Joplin, Hendrix, Moody Blues, Jefferson Airplane, Cat Stevens, Ten Years After - yes, I am a surviving old hippy believe it or not!..chuckling - to selections of the Blues, Jazz, Reggae, New Wave, even Bach and Mozart. Some of my top favorites from the classic rock period include just about everything Led Zeppelin ever did....ZZ Top's - "Jesus left Chicago", Jimmy Hendrix's "All Along the Watch Tower" and "Voodoo Child, The Door's "Back Door Man", "Break on Through To The Other Side", then Rory Gallagher..one of the all time best guitar players, and of course....Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker!....great....great stuff then and I still enjoy it today!

I guess you could say I am a sophisticated country guy. "You can take the boy out of the country but not the country out of the boy." You ever hear that one?

As far as sophisticated goes, I enjoy spending an evening at the Ballet - believe it or not - and the symphony to, I love Chinese food dinner followed by a great new release movie in a theater with hot buttered popcorn and you, or getting lost for hours and hours at an Art or Natural History Museum especially the ones in NYC. Over the years, I did a number of extended periods or time working in NYC and loved it there but not as a place to live full time. I am not interested in that, but to spend time there throughout the year playing and catching up on culture on different trips?...Oh my yes!....sign me up immediately. I recently discovered the Pilates concept. I recognize many of those exercises from some Military conditioning programs I participated in. Quite interesting.

As for the country side goes if you are more interested in that, there is all the standard outdoor stuff I do with friends and family, as-well-as early morning or evening walks on any of a number of Ocean Beaches particularly the one in Florence Oregon. That is a very special place there. So is the one in Panama City Florida. Primitive road travels in a 4X4 with my camera looking for that great wildlife shot have very happily consumed whole days in my life more than once. So has the exploration of interesting antique store type malls, blues and jazz festivals and picnics in very cool places with great people way outside the box.

In the winter months for grins and giggles, I ride a fast Snowmobile with others who enjoy a great day on the snow. Then in the summer time, it is into boats and out onto the rivers and lakes in the surrounding country side as-soon-as the weather warms up. I often take day to three day trips in this area. Lake Chelan is a favorite and so is Rufus Woods Reservoir behind Chief Joseph Dam and the Lake Roosevelt Reservoir behind Grand Coulee on the Columbia River.

All of those lakes have magnificent secluded places to hang out over a long weekend with good company. If spending a remote, romantic weekend away from the phones and all the hassles that go with urban living appeals to you, then I am your guy. I love skinny dipping in the bath tub warm water of the Columbia River just after dark off a couple of beautiful sandy beach where I camp starting in late July up through August. There is nothing like laying on your back there floating in that warm water gazing up at the spectacular panorama of the universe. It is really special...it is almost surreal.

In fact, there are a number of very special places I could take you to up river if you don't mind being remote. A couple of them would completely blow you away. For example, often as we head up river to any one of these places fishing as we go, we often spot a full grown adult eagles calmly observing us from 30 yards away or so on a number of different high rock pinnacles right there next to the river. They are beautiful birds and display no fear what-so-ever as we go trolling slowly by on our way heading further upriver...phew! ..simply magnificent! We have also seen Bob Cats and Bears on these trips along with all kinds of Hawks! The possibility of getting a wonderful wild life picture is quite high in these places.

I live here in a beautiful, four season place if you are into the outdoors. I love the the beauty of this place a great deal. I have lived in many beautiful places in my life and there are only couple of those places I would rather live than here.

A good friend told me recently that "the tighter the filter the less the chances of the search being fruitful Michael." Yes, that is true buddy but I am a patient man. However, since I seek only one woman, the purpose is well served.

First Date
A walk and talk in the park...how about a picnic?....to find out where each of us is at in terms of the others needs and expectations.

Sicklesteel has 2 roses that can be sent.
