What is there to say that will even give you a remote idea of who I am in such little space. I believe that, even if I type some superfical stuff about myself in this box, you still won't have an idea who I am. That takes conversation. So, email me, instant message me, talk to me and find out. :-)

I think that fundamentally, the first date is about getting to know the other person and getting a feel for the chemistry between one another. I don't think this can really occur in situations that don't facilitate conversation. Getting to know someone is about the direct exchange, the eye contact, the body language, the dialogue. So, I envision the ideal first date to be a relaxed situation that will allow for some conversation. A place where the exchange could last 5 minutes if the chemistry just isn't there, or 5 hours if the mutual draw is there and two people just can't pull themselves from the discussion.
