First things first, the most important thing that anybody can know about me is that I have a strong desire and willingness to enjoy my existence. I have a tendency to look for the best in any situation.
I am currently in school at UHCL as a literature major; I have two more semesters to go. I'm also an amateur MMA fighter (3-0 so far). I like reading (extra points to you if you know anything by Tom Robbins, Haruki Murakami, or Umberto Eco) and talking about interesting stuff (like revisionist histories, the origin of the moon, the immense lack of evidence supporting global warming and human evolution, and how we act like we've got it all figured out).
I am an existentialist at my core. I try not to have ideas or expectations of what anything ought to be; rather, I am more interested in the possibilities of what anything can be.
I don't watch very much tv (except for football, when the season is on). I'm a punk rocker at heart. Any music that I know from the mass media makes me feel dirty (in a bad way).
I've got lots of stories to tell, and I enjoy listening to others' tales as well.
I would be grateful to meet a person who has their own ideas of what they hope to gain out of anything, especially in regards to relationships. Mostly, I want to meet somebody who is not afraid to live in the moment - a person who understands that there is no past and no future, only the eternal now.

Probably just going to a nice and quiet public place for conversation. I'll play any of an assortment of games. I like walks, so maybe a stroll in a park would be nice. Dining is always an option as well, but I'm giving it low priority because I have this wonderful habit of asking questions of my date when she has her mouth full.
My dream first date (mind you, this is just a dream) would be a coffe or tea fueled spree of proposition bets, intermittently broken up with discussions aboout history, science, philosophy, religion, politics, or literature (it's all literature, really).
None of this stuff sounds very sexy as I reread it; but, that's okay, since I won't try to seduce you until our second date :).
