I have been telling myself that I don't mind being single but I think that's a lie. I know now that I can be successful on my own, without anyone's help which is reassuring and also lonely. My best friend just got married and moved 2 hours away. I have really great friends who I love. But decorating my PINK christmas tree w/ them is not the same as it would be doing it w/ the man I love or a family of my own. It's nice to know that I can be comfortable being alone (that wasn't always the case) but I'm ready to share a life with someone. I've been hurt in the past and avoided relationships for a while but now I've noticed myself feeling bitter towards couples getting married and hating romantic comedies. I think that means I'm lonely and don't want to be anymore. I'm ready to give love and dating a chance again. I miss that giddy feeling when you start really liking someone and think about them all the time. I want that again.
I like to think I'm pretty witty and I can be very sarcastic. I have a really poor sense of direction, I dont know how I lived before GPS. I love being organized- its how I roll! I completely appreciate referencing a movie or a line in a song at just the right moment. I hate tomatoes but like tomatoe products. I like dippy eggs for breakfast and love pizza anytime. Only in the past few years have I learned how important family truly is. I know what my idea of a great friend is and I like to think I try my best to achieve that. I like classic rock 'n roll like The Doors Bob Dylan, and The Stones but sometimes I just wanna hear some JayZ or Common. Getting a great bargain on something even if I didn't actually need it really satisfies me. I'm pretty awesome at Saved By The Bell (SBTB, for those of you that know it as well as I do) Trivia. I'm always begging my friends to play Taboo with me. It's my favorite game ever. A couple of years ago, my sister was moving to Cali so we packed up her car (a chevy prism) til it was exploding with crap and made the drive cross-country. And this was before GPS, I still can't believe we made it. We had the best time ever! We went to The Field of Dreams(it's a real place) and the restaurant with the giant dinosaurs from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. I would love to do another big road trip sometime, but maybe in a larger car with less stuff in it (we couldn't even recline the seats!).
I love to watch TV and movies. I don't know what I would do w/o my DVR.I love going out w/ my friends to movies, bowling, golfing, bars, tailgating, or staying in for board game nights.I'm a bit of a neat freak. My favorite actress is Drew Barrymore

i work 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm) as a nurse on a unit with mostly post-surgical patients. Everyday I learn something. Most days are pretty ok. But some are really rewarding and some are really depressing. Sounds a lot like life but I get paid for this.

I believe in God and karma but I dont go to church regularly. I was forced to go to church all the time when I was growing up in the Catholic School system. Now, I feel like I can be close to God w/o going to church every week and performing all of the rituals.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I was a bit wild and rebelious in high school. A lot of people didn't beleive I would make much of myself even though I was smart so I'm pretty proud of my college degree and my career.

I like visiting my sister in Hollywood whenever I can. Someday I would like to go to Mexico and Ireland (weird combo, right?!). I like "hole in the wall" type bars and restaurants but my favorite food is Japanese steakhouse.

I love it when it's raining or snowing outside and I don't have anywhere to be.I can sit by the fireplace and read, watch TV, or listen to music all day.I like shopping (Big Lots rocks!)a lot but I've been trying to teach myself to save lately.GO BUCKS!

For a first date, I would like to meet somewhere for drinks or coffee, or at a restaurant for dinner and great conversation. I'm usually up for almost anything and I've found that the most random, atypical first date plans can be the best.
