A lot of my friends call me Mikey the Pyromaniac. Ironically, no one called me Mikey until I was 25. I'm a writer living out of Wicker Park. I'm highly sarcastic and observant, plus I read a lot). My favorite books include Grendel by John Gardner, Imajica by Clive Barker, Hey Nostradamus! by Douglas Coupland, the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, and the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon. My eventual goal is to be a full-time novelist, but I work on various writing jobs (projects) at the moment. My sense of humor tends to be dark, yet playful, and often multi-layered. I like rock, punk rock, goth, industrial, metal, some retro, Elliot Smith, Dido, and a lot of other bands you wouldn't expect me to. I like any television show or movie that's well-written. Current favorites include Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Big Bang Theory, The Dark Knight, The Departed, Pan's Labyrinth, and this list is always changing.

I have (at current count) six tattoos which all symbolize eternal life in some way. I also exercise every day. I miss my dog who lives with my parents. Eventually, I want to go to Japan.

Something different, something novel, though this could just be sitting around and staring at the wall. It depends on the person you're with.
