Just your average free-spirit, vegetarian, animal loving, hard working, nature-loving chick. Not an extremist in any way...good or bad. I work for an airline (not a flight attendant). I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. I LOVE world music. Anything that comes from the continent of Africa truly moves me (please don't assume that African music only means Reggae or Rap).

I enjoy hikes. Would love to go camping, but as a newbie, wouldn't want to do that alone. I do not ski or snowboard. I prefer to take my time up and down the mountains.

I have my head on straight. I am not ashamed of my past, I don't worry about the future, I enjoy the Now. I am a very responsible person. I've worked for the same company for over 17 years. I've never been in jail. I've always paid my taxes. My parents are still married after 50 years. I believe relationships start with friendships.

I do not plan on having kids. If you have kids, that's awesome. I love kids at any age. Pets are great too. I don't have any anymore but I love pets of all kinds (except snakes...not a fan of reptiles). I'm currently learning Reiki for animals. If you know what that is, even better!

I am looking for a friend first with the possibility of dating. Not a friend with benefits. I am looking for someone who still appreciates the beauty of the nature that surrounds us. Most of all, I'm looking for an honest man...both honest to himself and others. Cultural awareness and sensitivity are a must, as I have friends from various backgrounds. I'm looking for a friend to go hiking, camping, out to dinner, concerts, etc If you have children, I prefer you have a healthy relationship with your children's mother. I've been on many dates where the men bad-mouth their ex's the whole time. Nobody likes that. A man who takes care of their body is great, but not a gym rat who is addicted to working out...that leaves little room or time for other fun things. It would be cool if we had similar interests so we have similar things to do. For example, I'm a healthy eater, so if you frequent McDonald's alot, then this may be a little awkward finding a place to go out for dinner that we'd both enjoy.

Balanced, centered, self-respect. Those are the most wonderful traits in a person. Once you have that, the rest comes easy.

I am happy with variety: coffee, museum, a drive in the mountains, dinner at a restaurant we've never tried before, a stroll on the 16th Street Mall, jazz or blues somewhere?
