About Me
.................................WHY AM I SINGLE ? ................................
After my last relationship of five years came to a close, I realized how prominent of an impact such a stable and loving experience had on my life, it had made me appreciate the value of the friendship we originally developed with each other before becoming involved. Although i have dated since then i have found those dates lacked the bond of friendship that makes having a relationship meaningful.
...............................WHY DON'T I HAVE KIDS? :..............................
Playing video games with my nephew and having a tea party with my nieces always gave me a sense of fulfillment that I wanted with my own children. They would often argue though over who’s turn it was to play; so I would give my game controller to my sister in law to show them how important it was to share. I've dated single parents and with each experience they earned an immeasurable level of respect from me for their intensity and devotion to their responsibility in raising their children.
Having children for me is important when I feel I have someone who is ready to share the responsibility with me with the same devotion i would have. But it's not a deal breaker if you don't want more children,I'm open minded and can accept an instant family if there is a willingness to accept me as an important part of it when the time comes.
....................................THINGS I ENJOY:..................................
As much as I enjoy battling Darth Vader with my nephew on his video game, I also like taking day trips riding my motorcycle up the scenic coast of Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach towards St. Augustine.
St. Augustine is a beautiful town with great seafood restaurants, though I have to admit I prefer to cook Indian chicken curry, prepare Japanese sushi and sashimi with miso soup, or re-create the classic Puerto Rican dishes of my youth such as arroz con gandules ( rice with pigeon peas ), pollo asado ( garlic roasted chicken ) and Lechon ( roasted pork, very popular in my culture ).
Although i have been known to make a mean macaroni and cheese with chicken nuggets for my nieces and nephews, they are picky eaters and even though they love my orange rice ( typically it is orange from the spices used to flavor the rice.Specifically Saffron; is a very delicate spice that is actually the tiny red stigma in the center of the purple crocus flower.)as they call it,you always gotta have a back up plan with kids if they are picky eaters.
.......................................MY GOALS:.....................................
Considering how passionate i was to teach myself new cuisines, I enrolled in flight school to pursue a lifelong passion for flying. The freedom to carefully plan a cross country trip and to be pilot in command of your aircraft appealed to my sense of adventure; and desire to try different restaurants at Fly Ins farther away than I would normally go on my motorcycle, when I earn my pilot certification by January.
On a recent ride through Ocala to the Ocala National Forest I passed horse ranches which had draft horses grazing near a fence by the main road I was travelling on. I couldn’t help but pull over and take a picture of a group of horses who were being ridden effortlessly by students with their training coach on another horse riding beside them.
This one student who was 12 years old I found out from the coach dismounted the horse, greeted me in a whimsical voice and asked me if riding a motorcycle was like riding a horse.
I never thought about it that way, and replied that I would have to ride a horse to know for sure. The coach then explained to me that they give riding lessons at that ranch.I was intrigued by the thought of learning something new, took a brochure, and said my goodbyes. When I returned home I located a school in Orlando which offers lessons in the English style of riding.
Which is different from the Western style of riding that utilizes a broader saddle to provide more comfort on longer rides herding cattle.
............................WHAT DO I LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?:...........................
I’m looking forward to taking horseback riding lessons soon and hope that it is as much fun as learning to dance the Rumba which I’m attending classes for 2 days a week.
I originally wanted to brush up on my salsa, which is a style of dance popular in my Puerto Rican culture, but fell in love with the passion and movements of the Rumba.Because I smoke though, I felt nervous before my first lesson so I made sure not to smoke that day and wore comfortable clothes I just washed and pressed.
Unless I’m in a time crunch I prefer to do my own laundry rather than sending everything to the dry cleaner, and I’m glad I did since dancing so close to virtual strangers and smelling of smoke can be offensive; and I didn’t want to start off on the wrong foot. ( no pun intended ) .............................WHAT KIND OF WOMAN DO I WANT? :.........................
I learned quickly that in dancing like life, you have to have the right partner. There was the dance instructor who picked me out of the group to show us a step.
Her having years of experience I thought I could catch on fast. But I only managed to look silly and felt even more uncomfortable as my group laughed at my missteps. She let me off the hook, and I re-joined the group with a dance partner whose boyfriend did not want to learn to dance.
I felt instantly comfortable as she and I joked about who would step on whose toes first, but it makes you appreciate how important finding the right partner in life who can make you feel just as comfortable is.
For me someone who is loyal, faithful, trustworthy, independent, strong, thoughtful, respects herself and above all else has a great sense of humor are qualities I find to be extremely attractive. If you are that woman , I would love to dance with you, I promise not to step on your toes!
....................................WHY PICK ME? :...................................
At the end of my first Rumba lesson I asked my instructor why she had chosen me to show the class the step, considering that I had never danced the Rumba I was curious. She told me that she felt I had a sincere willingness to learn, a respect for the amount of work it takes to be taught something new to me but more importantly she explained that my energy and enthusiasm was obvious to her and made her feel that the class would have more fun with me as an example.
I feel that same ability to listen well to my instructor and compromise, being thoughtful and considerate are the same qualities that help make a relationship with someone you feel you can trust and respect successful. If you feel the same E-Mail Me !
