Hopeful romantic finding myself again after two long term relationships. I am friendly and fun loving, with a great sense of humor. Some of the best times in life are simply a dinner or afternoon with family or friends, talking and laughing. Being a Scorpio, I am passionate in all areas of my life; that intensity pushed me to be an advocate for special needs children in the LAUSD in my past. Being Pagan, I strive to stay connected to that energy that moves through us all.

After losing my mom to cancer last year, I have been spurred on to discover who I really am and what I really want. It is a great time of growth and discovery for me... my daughter has just started college, and my main client (I work freelance) is ramping down her business, so I have the opportunity to explore what I really want to do with the second half of my life...

I know one thing that I want to experience more of is travel. I haven't been able to do enough of it yet, but that is one of the things that I want to change. I traveled to Japan with my daughter this summer, and it was a wonderful experience. My biggest travel desire is to go to Europe, especially the UK(Ireland!) and Italy.

I've been told I have odd, eclectic tastes in music, though they don't seem that odd to me! My favorite music includes Peter Gabriel, Seal, David Sylvian, B52s, Voltaire, 80s New Wave, Classic 60s, Trance, Industrial, Gypsy, World, and Classical, especially Carmina Burana. I love music that inspires me to dance and move to the rhythm. I took bellydancing years ago, and soon I want to learn swing dance, which would be more fun if I had a partner to dance with!

In movies, I can appreciate most kinds except slasher/gore fests. I do love Sci-Fi/Fantasy Action Pics -Star Trek/Watchmen/Lord of the Rings etc, which you Have to see on the big screen! - as well as films that transport you to another time and place.

I don't spend much time in front of the TV, so what I watch is usually something I know I like, recorded and watched when it's convenient. Some favorites, (past) Deadwood, Carnivale, Battlestar Gallactica (present) Dexter, True Blood, Big Love, Heroes, Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Colbert Report, Family Guy, South Park,

I'm a strong woman, so I need a strong man who will be a partner in life, letting me lean on him when I feel weak, and who is able to enjoy doing just about anything together. I'm looking for a man who is smart, funny, communicative, interested in the state of the world today, and would inspire a mutual devotion. Someone who can talk and listen... Communication is key in a relationship, and you must be able to stimulate the mind before the body... the brain is the greatest erogenous zone we have.

Whatever seems right depending on how much we've talked online or the phone, but something that allows getting to know each other better.
