Basic Info: I moved to GR recently to help my son through college, got a Certified Nursing certification, and along the way got distracted with creating an application for the iPhone and then a DVD for publishing. Still looking for an old house to rehab. So that's the short version.

My hobbies: Fresh air, good conversation, no bars, unless it's for billiards or darts (& smoke-free). If you’re looking for a gamer or somebody with an Xbox 360, sorry. I subscribe to Netflix and enjoy movies & TV shows in the sci-fi, comedy, light romance, action and documentary genres. I log a bit of time in libraries for books on art, graphic design, interior design, massage therapy, eastern philosophy, modern architecture, eco-living, gardening and graphic novels/comic books. For the less sedentary activities, I dabble in yoga, biking, kayaking, ping pong, shiatsu, volleyball, snuggling by a fire, beach combing, sunset gazing and playing with power tools (just for rehabbing). Board games like Monopoly, chess and Scrabble are fun too.

Pets: Don’t have any currently but I would like to get a dog again. I’ve owned 2 snuggly cats and 2 playful dogs in the past. The rabbit was a house guest.

Religion: I'm a Christian and am quite happy to have found a nearby church I like attending.

My idea of dating or ‘hanging out’ with a significant other would be any of (and not limited to) the following, in any seasons since I'm an all weather guy:

- a hike in the woods, craft fairs, art galleries & museums, or attending a play
- a relaxing meal at a favorite ethnic restaurant
- Walking, bicycling or cross country skiing trails with good conversation
- watching a BIG screen movie at home & snuggling on the couch
- pack some refreshments, drive out and find a canoe or kayak to rent, and paddle the afternoon away
- clear out that spare bedroom of yours or cluttered corner of the house, and pick out some paint in a nice shade of mellow. Turning it into an arts & crafts room for your creativity to blossom in
- Road trip! Pack a cooler, bring along some classic rock, early country and some light jazz, and the GPS. Explore the little shops & restaurants along the way, while enjoying the conversation with the music as ambiance.

What am I looking for? A casual paced but long term relationship with someone who not only shares some of my interests but is willing to teach me some of theirs as well. If I don’t learn & grow from the relationship, I may as well be napping. If anyone has enough patience to teach me how to slow dance, fish or play a musical instrument, I would be grateful. I can repay in hugs. Also, someone who is secure in themselves and recognize that each of us also need to spend time by ourselves, and with other friends. Reciprocating back rubs would be nice, too.
