Alot has happened this year.
bad and good.
I have been single for quite some time by choice.
I know most people don't "choose" to be single, but I did.
The summer is over, kids are back in school and the holidays are approaching!
(My fav time of year)
So I am ready to start meeting some new people.
Preferably beautiful, sweet and not materialistic.
(especially since my little sports car blew it's engine today)
Looking for someone that will mesh with me and that I can grow with.
Someone who completes me.
(I know I am quoting a movie..I have no idea which one...but I mean it)

Hello. A recently created word in the English language.
Previously Hello was used as an outburst of surprise.
For example.. if you were walking and were surprised by a snake, .. you might jump away and yelp "hello!".
Thus when the phone was invented the ringer would scare people and they would yell "hello!".
And therefore became the formal greeting.
Before that Hello never existed in conversation.
Thus Hello was a word of greeting due to the telephone.
I personally thought that was interesting.

They say the best way to get to know yourself is to ask everyone else about you. So I did that, and found that there were two completely different views from two completely different sets of people. This made me think alot and realize that I am indeed one man who lives two very different roles.
All the people I asked who knew me when I was younger saw me as a risk taker, and adventurer, a philosopher and a musician interested in figuring out the patters of the human condition and expressing the joy and pain of life in my wirtings, music and Art. I was in their eyes a romantic and a casanova who loved having romances and traveling the world in search of adventure. To them I was some twisted version of picasso, van gogh or michael angelo in my art forms. To these people I was happy and bright..energetic and yet sometimes deep and quiet and focused on my own dreams and desires.
There is another group of people I asked who have known me since I have had children. The see me as the businessman, the moralist who goes to church too much, the good father who raises his kids on his own. The protector and the provider who is calm and patient, one who gives good advice and lives a stable and comfortable life. To these people I was seen as successful and one who makes a good amount of money and spoils his children and his family. Someone who gives away cars or things of value to those he loves who might need it. Too these people..I was the opposite of the first person.
SO I had to think alot about these two opinions and wondered if anyone really knew me at all. After all I am the first person and I am the second person... hhmm... So after alot of thought I have come to the conclusion that no one has really taken the time to find out all the complexities and simplicities of who I am. Maybe it was due to circumstance or enviorment. The fact of the matter is I am both of these people. I raise my kids on my own and I would not have it any other way. I am a good provider and caregiver and work hard for them and do my best to give my family a good life and give them opportunity and I do spoil them rotten. However I am the first as well and sometimes people fail to see that as well. I am intensly passionate, very romantic, extremely adventurous and I still live for my music and my various art forms..including writing as you can probably tell by now wishing this profile was over, not to mention I travel all over the world alone every year.
