Like everyone else, I am in search of that special someone with whom to spend my life with.

Okay, so the reality: I'm mostly a putter-around-the-house kind of guy who enjoys computer games, movies and animation, reading (mostly fantasy, shoujo manga, and sci-fi), travel, and writing. I love entertaining people with stories and jokes, but find myself preferring small crowds and parties as opposed to large ones. I enjoy learning about other countries and cultures, especially while visiting them, which I generally finagle at least once a year now. At the end of 2006 I had lap-band surgery and just recently joined a gym full-time, so am finally starting to lose some weight. I am currently owned by a small feline, who bosses me around on a regular basis. And finally, I bought a little 49cc scooter (Honda Ruckus/Zoomer) a while ago and now enjoy riding anywhere and everywhere I can on it.

Am wishing to meet someone who is as fun loving as I am, still in touch with their playful and childish sides, and yet able to be serious when necessary. A person with their own thoughts and ideas, but are willing to listen to mine as well. And finally, someone who, while not necessarily having the same hobbies as myself, is at least willing to pat me on the head and say, "That's nice dear" when needed. *smile*

I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect first date... I'd just be happy with amusing, moderately calm, and honest.
