How's this for an attention getter: during my 37 years of life, I've moved 18 times! I've lived all over, as well as overseas. All that moving has its pluses and minuses (minusii? minusices?--oh wait, here we go: "Onanssississ's"--this is your big clue to the above). I’ve gotten to meet a lot of good people and still keep in touch with the ones I’m closest to. It has taught me to be objective and really absorb another's point of view.

Honest, loyal, introspective, a good listener. These are some words I'd use to describe myself. Others are: funny, quirky, playful and touchy-feely.

I moved to the DC area a few years ago but never took the time to look around much. I would really like to find someone to go exploring with. Though I've only gone a few times, I really enjoy camping as well. I can be a couch potato at times, but the fact that my tivo grabs just the things I want to see means I'm not aimlessly wandering the channels. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that, if that’s who you are.)

Though my gut can attest otherwise, I do like to workout and get a good sweat going. I prefer working up that sweat with a partner ;) I used to cycle quite a bit in college and would like to get back into that as well.

I have 2 very boisterous boys of the canine variety, so I’m definitely a dog person.

I work in IT supporting a government system. It can be challenging at times, but that's why I like it. However, I do think the law should allow you to slap a coworker of your choice once per year... call it National Slapping Day.

While I can’t claim to have many friends in this area, maybe you and I start something rewarding? And besides, when was the last time you had a foot massage? I give great massage…

I’m looking for a smart woman with a great sense of humor who can take as well as give a good joke. Note: I said a smart woman. That doesn’t mean you have to be a rocket scientist. Level of education attained and smarts do not always have a linear relationship.

Liking sports is a plus, football and auto racing (re: *not* NASCAR) are bigger pluses. Being a video gamer will get you an A . You don’t have to be a cook, but certainly should be willing to help me goof off in the kitchen.

I like women who are just a little bit headstrong (again, that whole ‘challenge’ thing), but can gracefully (oh, heck, even not so gracefully) admit either they were wrong or I was right. I am *certainly* willing to admit when I’m wrong (and yes, *gasp* I’ll even stop to ask directions.)

I’m attracted to women who have confidence in themselves, but not to the point that it overshadows those around them. Big egos and cattiness are a pet peeve of mine.

For me, looks are only a part of the whole package. In my opinion, a man could be with who he considers to be the absolute most physically perfect woman, but if she isn’t a physical person or has very little interest in sex, she’s not going to be around for long. I don’t think many women realize that at least 50% of what men consider sexy is attitude (even if we don’t realize it ourselves). I think part of a man’s role is to help draw that sexiness out, and enjoy it with her.

Let's simply start with getting to know each other and see how things progress naturally.

What to do on a first date? Oh, lots of choices, really depends on our mutual interests and how much we've conversed before hand. There's the standard dinner & movie, but that's a little cliche, unless both persons are movie buffs (which I happen to be.) There are always '1st date idea' websites with tons of suggestions, but I think there should be some effort to make it a personal experience as much as possible.
