About Me
Here we go. People apparently can't figure me out too easily because I tend to say the strangest things. I go off on tangents but somehow I manage to find my way back. I definitely make people laugh though whether its with me or at me is debatable.....hmmm...I talk too much....I know alot about many useless things....my friends rock, some literally haha....I am a girlie girl (I love handbags, shoes and makeup) but also can be one of the guys (minus their body parts) and I try not to sound like a really bad cliche when I say things like that....
I work in Manhattan so end up spending most of my life there even though I live in Mount Vermin, I mean Mt Vernon.
I'm really good at naming that tune and inserting song lyrics into conversations.
I'm petite, I look a lot younger than my age, I'm friendly....well that last one is unless you poke me in the shin with your pointy umbrella....
Miss Piggy is my queen. Hiyyyuuuuuppp!
I love doing things like going to New York ComicCon....meeting celebs, people watching and just geeking out....
I am fascinated with the concept of six degrees of separation....
I'd definitely like to find a little bit o' love....
I love music, reading, tv and all that stuff...these are some of the highlights... Music first cause it is really important to me: David Usher(I am obsessive about his music--be warned), Moist, Howie Day, The Kin, Gavin Rossdale, Roch Voisine, Sarah McLachlan, Anthrax--The Bush Years ONLY, Stereomud, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Lacuna Coil, Jesse Malin, Michael McDermott, A-ha, Sevendust, Life of Agony, Dishwalla, INXS, Journey, Rob Zombie, Uncrowned...Those are just some highlights....
Books: All books by Jasper Fforde; Pursemonger of Fugu by Greg Kramer; All books by David Sedaris; Natural History of the Senses by Diane Ackerman]; The ****-Up by Arthur Nersesian; Shadow of the Wind by Zafon; People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks; Freakonomics; Operation Shylock by Philip Roth; books by Ian Frazier; cookbooks (I love to read and collect them but dont get to use them nearly as much as I'd like); tons of mysteries; the Artemis Fowl children's books. I work in a bookstore, what do you expect--a normal mix?
Movies: Toy Story, Last Night, almost anything involving Don McKellar or Paul Gross,Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Hard Core Logo minus the very last scene, almost any Muppet related movie, Lost Boys, Grease, Back to the Future, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (and most of its many sequels), He's My Girl, Cool Runnings, Shrek, Kung Fu Hustle (so bizarre but so funny), Ice Age the Meltdown, ; Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit the Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Tango and Cash, the Lethal Weapon movies, old mystery movies--The Thin Man, Agatha Christie, North by Northwest...
Most of the good stuff isn't on anymore...but here's the best part of my list of tv faves some current but most of them not: Lost, Buffy, Voyagers! (not the Star Trek one), Slings & Arrows, Psych, Dexter, Wonder Woman, Due South, MacGyver, King of Queens, The Pretender, 24, Monk, CSI (original only), Sue Thomas FB Eye, Numbers, Bones, Night Stalker (the original is better than the newer one but I do like Stuart Townsend), Castle, A-Team, Ellery Queen Mysteries, old episodes of The Match Game and Family Feud from the 70s and 80s on the Game Show Network, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (and the Girl one as well), McMillan and Wife, Knight Rider, Twitch City, Magnum PI, & of course my soaps: Days of Our Lives, One Life to Live & General Hospital....and then there are the cartoons....let's see Jabberjaw, Hong Kong Phooey, ah most Hanna-Barbera except for that d*mn Huckleberry Hound and Droopy Dog who I can't stand....Superfriends, South Park..., Looney Tunes (Tweety particularly)....okay I think I'll just quit while I'm ahead...
One more little detail: I really like watching baseball and hockey...
First Date
I love to hit a little hole in the wall gem place in the city to grab a bite...somewhere casual and then when the weather is just right walk around the neighborhood enjoying the fresh air and the people and learning a bit about each other.
