I'm a Ph.D. Graduate Student in Bioengineering at UCSD. I'm completely in love with music... I have an acoustic guitar, and I'm getting much better at it. I'm very ambitious in my work and definitely want to make a difference with my research.. maybe even cure a disease or two! I really love to travel but definitely don't get to do enough of it.

I love good conversations, especially over a nice glass of wine. Stars and the ocean make me happy. I think a lot and am pretty logical, but despite all that, I'm still a bit of a dork. I would feel quite at home on a swing set with a cute girl. Even though my career is in the sciences, I'd like to consider myself an artsy person. I love to paint and you can often find me buried in a good book. Overall, I'm optimistic and idealistic and pretty much a hopeless romantic.
