About Me

I just relocated to Nashville from Athens, Georgia. I love the outdoors and enjoy kayaking, hiking and camping. I try to ride my mountain bike everyday, exploring the trails, looking for a cool spot by a lake to take in the day. I'm open to all styles of music and enjoy catching a live show here and there. I love to cook and have done it professionally for years. My passion, however, is building metal sculptures and furniture.

Some of my ipod selections: The Riverbottom Nightmare Band, Hank III, Uncle Tupelo, Ween, Morphine, Kid Rock, Cake, Sublime, Wilco, Blind Melon, The Hives, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Tool, Disturbed, Nirvana, Southern Culture on the Skids, Marley, Mofro, R.L. Burnside, T-Model Ford, John Prine, Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones, Gillian Welch, the White Stripes, Iggy, Jane’s, Joan Jett, Violent Femmes, Blues Traveler, the Pixies, GNR, the Crue, old Metallica, and on and on and on….....

When I watch the tube: Family Guy, Two and Half Men, Frazier, House, CSI, History Channel.

On DVD: Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, The Big Lebowski, A Love Song For Bobby Long, Stranger Than Fiction (anything with Will Ferrell), Benny & Joon (most Johnny Depp), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pick of Destiny, Old School, Little Nikki, Mr. Deeds…..

In Print: Sick Puppy by Carl Hiaasen, all Hunter Thompson and Kerouac.

If you’re still reading, I can offer a little more . I grew up in a small town called Bradford in northwestern Pennsylvania. I attended college in Indiana, Pennsylvania, traveled through Europe and moved to Atlanta. After managing a few fine-dining kitchens and a Rock and Roll club in the “big city”, I relocated to Jackson, Mississippi. Growing tired of the long hours and low paying restaurant scene, I bought a welder and went into business for myself creating metal sculptures and mosaics. After about five years of sporadic success, I move to New Orleans, picked up with an Ornamental Ironworks shop and continued my creations on the side. Following a couple failed relationships, a crumbling economy and a bad decision or two, I decided to come to Nashville.

I would describe myself as honest, compassionate, loyal and dedicated. Sound like what you want to hear? It’s the truth. I really don’t know how to fake it. I can try, but anyone can see through me. Honesty comes more natural to me. Benevolence; it’s a way of life, “the Golden Rule”. I usually put others before myself. It makes me happy. Loyalty was elusive when I was younger. I have been on both sides of unfaithful relationships, and have never know anything like the pain it can cause deep in one’s soul. I have scruples and haven’t made that mistake in 15 years, and certainly never will again. I tend to find myself in long-term relationships. When I find an inspiring and reciprocal situation, I embrace it.

I don’t know why I’m here. I suppose curiosity and possibility. I don’t know what I’m looking for, not exactly. I’ll know when I find her. I want her to be a friend, a lover, a companion, a partner, a soul-mate, and an ally. All people have something unique that draws you in; something that you love about them. I like a girl to be a lady, a tomboy, a street-smart country girl. Intelligent, funny...downright goofy. Caring, gentle, and a little feisty. Most of all, I want her to look in my eyes and smile.

When I type, I attempt eloquence. I talk more like a hillbilly than a college graduate because it’s fun. This online profiling is new to me. I start thinking about where I’ve been and where I'm going, what I like and who I am; and it’s difficult to stop and paraphrase my life and beliefs. So I feel that I am rambling on and on, while at the same time stopping shy of the whole me. I didn’t even touch on my family. Well, that leaves plenty to talk about when I get your message.
