I'm originally from Ireland and have just moved to Grimsby for work. Prior to now I lived in Bristol for 3.5 years, travelled for 1 and spent a few months at home fighting hard against the big "R"!!!

My main passion in life is travelling and I get away as much as possible. I took a year out to travel solo around the world in 2008 (SE Asia, Oz, Fiji, NZ, South America and Mexico) which was amazing, but has left me itching for more! I have also inter-railed around Europe and enjoyed several city breaks. Slowly making my way through the BBC's "Unforgettable places to see before you die".

I love swimming, going to the gym, socialising with friends, tennis, reading, going to the cinema, singing and playing the guitar (purely for my own enjoyment though - I'm ruuuubbbiiissshhhh!!!). I really enjoy learning random new skills and trying out new activities (everything from Spanish, woodwork and holistic massage to surfing, parachute jumping and zorbing!). Looking forward to my first ski trip in February.
Oh, and I AM the karaoke queen! LOL!

Some of my favourite books include the Harry Potter Series, true stories and autobiographies (such as Marching Powder, Once I Was A Princess, Lucky Man and anything to do with the holocaust) and fiction by the likes of Kathy Reichs (the books that Bones is based on), Khaled Hosseini (Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns), Jodi Picoult and many more. My movie and music tastes cross almost every genre - I watch/listen to pretty much anything... Really just depends on my mood!!

I am on this site both for dating and friendship. I would particularly like to meet any Irish in the area (they get my jokes!) but also fun, outgoing people of all nationalities, male and female (friendship only girls!!!!), who are up for a laugh and enjoy socialising.
