As my headline reads, I`m looking for the love of my life. I think everyone on here realizes what a difficult task that is. I applaud everyone who tries online dating because they are willing to take the kidding and laughs they get when they tell their friends what they`re doing. Online dating is just another chance to meet that special someone. I like online dating much better than going to clubs, parties or grocery stores in search of "The One". You get a chance to read about people and communicate with them before you even decide to meet them. Anyway, here I am. Take a look at my photos, check out my interests and read about me. I am an easygoing person who views the world realistically. I am formally educated which helps to understand much of what I confront. However, there is much I still question. It annoys me that I will someday succumb to life`s inevitable end without learning the answers to some of the more perplexing questions that have stumped mankind since its beginning.

I am simple in my beliefs about men, women and relationships. Each should treat the other as they want to be treated and a relationship is built on love and trust. I am complicated when discussing the human condition, science and the abstract. I am happy outdoors or indoors. I stay active through various activities that also help to keep me physically fit. I am very much into diet and exercise and would prefer a partner who is, too. I appreciate and enjoy the arts. An art or craft show sparks my interest as does a museum. I am constantly learning and seek a partner that keeps her mind as active as her body. Education is a plus but intelligence is more important. I am an optimist but also a realist. I expect the best but have learned to settle for the attainable. I do not dwell on my failures but learn from them so as to do better the next time. I do not dwell on my successes but use them as stepping stones to my next achievement. I carry myself as a humble man who greets everyone as a friend. I have little tolerance for egocentric people or those who would belittle another due to race, lack of wealth or physical appearance. I can be happy cooking a hot dog over an open fire or watching a good movie cuddling with that special someone. I am a romantic and enjoy all the little things that make a relationship enjoyable. I am dependable, honest and faithful. I do not cheat and I expect the same from my partner. I am not looking for a casual relationship or a one night stand. Come to me only if you have the desire and ability to love for a truly blissful relationship.

And now, a note to my soul mate...

Okay, I`ve been talking to you all of my life so excuse me if I seem a little forward and get a little personal but after all these years you seem like a very old friend and I feel I`m entitled. True, we have never actually met but in my dreams you have played every conceivable part as my companion and soul mate. You have been there for me when I was lonely, scared, tired, frustrated, as well as happy, hopeful, confident and yes, even romantic... especially romantic. Your face, figure, voice, personality and even your name have changed over the years; more so than any one woman could change but in the end you are still you and I know you as you regardless of how I perceive you at any given time. I have spoken to you in my mind and have called out to you in full voice. I have felt you next to me when watching a tender movie and laughed with you when something funny came to us. I guess you could say that I have never truly been alone. For this reason I thank you and wish you well, always. I may never meet you in person but I know you exist. It would be a shame if we never did actually meet but whether we do or not I still can say that I never could have made it through life without you. You have been my inspiration to do better and to hold my standards high. Whenever doubt would enter me I could always count on you to lift my spirits. Just the thought of someday being with you helped me through the toughest of times. I just wanted you to know what you have meant to me. If it is indeed our fate to never meet at least you know how I feel. I know you know how I feel whether you read this or not because I know you feel the same way about me. I have been there for you and with you throughout your life and will continue to always be by your side. You know me as well as I do you. Such is the way of soul mates. We were linked before birth and will remain linked for all time. As this day fades I regret only that it was not the day of our meeting. However, I know that the end of this day simply leads into the next day where my hope springs anew as one more chance is offered me to make your acquaintance. Should the day come that I am no longer offered another chance rest assured that my final thoughts will be of you. Know that you were my beginning, my end and everything in-between.

I`d like to go somewhere for lunch or dinner, preferably outside, weather permitting. I have yet to meet anyone I couldn`t get along with, at least for a couple of hours. However, if you would be more comfortable having coffee at a local Starbucks then that`s what we`ll do. Let`s just find a nice, quiet place. I really want to hear what you have to say.
