First date, that's tough. I think a first date should be a lunch, your time is restricted, that's beneficial to both in case you meet a crazy, lets you escape. I know thats a terrible way to look at it, but its true. It's very casual, relaxed, gives you enough time for conversation and see if you want a night date.
