I am from Toronto but have lived in Beijing and have recently moved to Vancouver and am enjoying getting to know the west coast. Travel is a very important part of my life so if you don't travel we wont get along very well. I thrive on change and love adventures. I will try anything once, bugs and scorpians in Beijing being one of those times, not the tastiest meal I have had and will be leaving that experience to a one time only event. I don't drink coffee very often and am slightly obsessed with tea. Sarcasm and dry wit beat slap stick any day (hence my sarcastic but truthful profile!). I love British television and think the BBC is amazing. The CBC is a close second (it is in fact my station of choice and home page). I love most kinds of music and enjoy hearing live bands and love dancing. My musical taste is varied, I have a soft spot for 80s and am a fan of ebm, synthpop, trance, electronica.... really everything except country. I enjoy scifi in movies and books. I don't own a tv so I don't watch that much television but there are a few shows I enjoy. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I enjoy dressing up (see pictures!). My everyday sense of style can be a little odd too. I think being odd is a very positive thing, blending in has never been a goal of mine and I value creativity and difference in people around me. If you are normal or average I will probably get bored very quickly. I am forever learning and trying to better myself and look for that same quality in those around me. Along with "unique" I also value intelligence, wit and education in my friends. I am looking for people who are on the same page as me in life.

A parting note. Pictures of half naked guys in front of their cars don't do a thing for me, unless the thing you are refering to is making me laugh. I have no interest in what kind of car you drive and if you feel your best assest is your body you, your ego and I probably wont get along. If you are too lazy to spell out words when you type up a message to me you are not my type. I don't even do text talk when texting. If you write me with "hi", "hey", "hi there" or something equally as creative or a cut and paste job I will not be impressed. If you dont take the time to write me a personal note you are not the type of person I would get along with. Also if you dont have a picture dont expect a response. I have pictures so its only fair :)

If you have noticed I have added you to my favorites it's because I use that function as sort of a "bookmark" so I can write something later.

I am not sure "dating" is the right term for what I am looking for. I am essentially here to meet some cool and interesting people to hang out with while I am living in Vancouver. Luckily I have a great job that allows me to pick up and move to new and interesting places when I get bored somewhere. I am not ruling anything out but I certainly have no expectations.

I hate the word "date" it has way to many implications and expectations attached to it. I prefer "hang out". Going for a drink and a walk is always a good start.
