Let's see, who I am, what I like, who you are......

Who I am:

I am trustworthy and honest to a fault. I have a strong sense of right and wrong and fairness and justice is important to me. Sometimes I think I should have become a lawyer. I usually see both sides to every story. I can be a little reserved when I first meet someone but look out after the first few minutes, the flood gates open and my talking mojo gets going. Some might even say I have a tendency to ramble on occasion (but usually don't because they love me :) I talk and make jokes when I am nervous. I am a christian, sadly not always a very good one, but it is an important part of who I am. I have a strong work ethic and do what I have to do to get the job done. If you are my friend, family, neighbor or coworker, I will always be there for you. In an average sort of way I am adventerous and a thrill seeker but I don't do death defying stunts, cause I wanna live! I am an animal lover. I have 2 great dogs.

What I like to do:

I love outdoors and in good weather I am usually outside. My favorite activites include tennis, swiming, cycling, rollerblading, walking, running. Anything involving water (except chinese water tourture, my brother tried it on me once and I really did not care for it). I work out daily and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle although I do have a fondness for ice cream (don't tell Jenny Craig). From a physical perspective I am not a perfect speciman but I am healthy and fit and I make this a priority. When indoors I like to read and I also do needlework. I am pretty open to doing new things. I love the water, mountains, city life, and country life. I am not hard to please. I watch TV occasionally, usually if I am doing needlepoint but other than that, the TV is just a dust collector. I do like a good movie on a rainy day.

I've been supporting credit unions in the software business for most of my life. I currently do product marketing.

I love many types of music but mostly listen to contemporary Christian. But I love to work out or swim to soft rock. I like country too.

I have been on my own most of my adult life and that has worked for me. I have had a great life up to this point. I hope my next 48 years will be even better! But I know that sharing life with someone, the right someone, is so much better than going it alone. I am ready to find that right person.

So what does the right one look like to me?

He is a christian. He is kind and caring to himself, to me and to others. He has a sense of humor and is funny, does not take everything to seriously. He is trustworthy and honest. He prefers to lead an active lifestyle. He would rather be doing something than sitting on the couch. He listens and actually retains things people tell him. He communicates his thoughts, desires, wants and needs. He has strong work ethics. He wants to be with me but also has his own interests. Being with me does not complete him, but does enhance his life. He will love the fact that I have long time friends that I do things with regularly. He will want me to spend time with my friends and he will do the same with his. He loves his family (mother, father, siblings, children, etc...whatever family is to him) and makes them a priority. He will love me for who I am and not want to change me although I annoy him on occasion :). And finally, he loves dogs.

A perfect date.....picture it.. 70 degrees, spring day, not a cloud in the sky, nice cool breeze....maybe a little canoeing on the lake, picnic lunch..music playing

OK, well maybe that is not the first date. Maybe a second? How about a first date going like this...

we meet at the rt 17 dismal swamp route and we ride bikes. It's a nice 17 mile route, couple of hours would be a nice leisurely pace. If we are lucky, maybe we will see a black bear. I saw one last fall. A light snack and something to drink after the ride. sound good?

of course, if an evening is prefered, I am always game for coffee at an outdoor cafe.
