I think about myself in two different ways. I wonder why would someone else want a person (me) that's 46 years old and second I wonder why would someone not want me as I am devoted, I think I'm romantic, I think I'm soft hearted for the right person, and several other qualities I think someone would want. |

I realize a first date is to get to know each other, to see if there is sufficient compatibility and interest to go on future dates. I don't drink coffee, but enjoy tea, and really enjoy sweets. A first date is meeting in some place that is neutral where attention can be focused on each other rather than the surroundings. That said a museum, exhibit, or even public gardens would be nice. A movie or theater is passive, focusing on the entertainment rather than the other person.
Bicycling or hiking I feel would not be a good first date. I am at times too competitive or too focused on the abilities of my own body (introspective, monitoring, judging, not narcissistic) to be a good companion for those events.
I suppose I am now officially separated as I'm in my own apartment and out of the marital home. As much as I really want to engage in the intimate aspects of a relationship, I will not do so until my divorce is final. I also will not do so without first medical disease testing. |
