Me:

Was born in Europe, but have been in Vancouver for about 25 yrs. The Europe thing means I was raised by strict parents that made me eat all the food I didn't want to, and if I didn't wear my slippers in the house I'd get grounded haha. Pain in the ass back then, but it made me a better person. (PS I also learned how to swim by being tossed in the pool).

I'm an independent, and analytical type guy who's always thinking. I want to make the most out of life, but not at the expense of having fun. I don't take things, or myself, too seriously and enjoy kicking back. I know how to work hard, but enjoy a nice work/life balance.

I love sports and I'm not someone who can stay in a gym for too long -- I'd rather be doing something with friends that has a bit of fun competition involved. In the summer I play tons of volleyball, roller hockey, golf (my fav), and a little tennis. In the winter I board, ski and play hockey.

I'm open minded and quite liberal, and although I may enjoy debating a close minded conservative, I probably wouldn't get along with them day-to-day. I'm a binge reader, and I mostly read non-fiction (outliers, end of poverty, good to great etc...), but I toss in a novel every once in awhile. I'm also into investing, and although my portfolio got a swift kick to the nut-sack, I still enjoy the challenge. I'm hoping to move into finance after I burn out from looking at the computer all day.

I work and run a business on the side (no not drug dealing) so no time to email back and forth 100 times. I already have a great group of friends, but I'm always up for meeting new (like-minded) people so fire me a message if you think we'll get along. I'm looking for friends first then go from there.

No expectations, just have a good time, chat and see if we have anything in common. If that could be combined with a physical activity that's cool too.
