Hey people! I'm single and looking to meet new people so I joined. I'm interested in meeting all types of people. I don't want to specify what "type" of guy I'm interested in because I don't want to box myself in and not meet someone great. I realize that not everyone I talk to here will develop into a relationship but making new friends is fine by me.

Well that's enough about why I signed up for this site. This is supposed to be a self-summary so I should probably say a few things about me. I am addicted to Dr. Pepper and if Dr. pepper stopped being produced, I would go into a blind rage that not even Mr. Pibb " the arch nemesis of Dr. pepper" could help, my iPhone, and gadgets. I know that Dr. Pepper is not the best thing to drink everyday but if it didn't taste so delicious I wouldn't feel compelled to have it. I think my iPhone and I are attached at the hip. Somehow I managed to put it down so I could type this. I love to sing even though I wasn't born with an angel's voice, close to but not quite there yet. I find it difficult to hear a song that I like and not sing along with it. If I'm in a situation where singing along would be very inappropriate, I'll hum, tap my finger, or dance (although, if singing is inappropriate dancing might be too); I have to feel the music somehow. I own a PS3 and a PSP so sometimes I play video games or I'll watch a movie on bluray. I enjoy going out to eat (I do not like seafood), dancing, seeing a movie, or walking around NYC.

I am currently a scientist and I've worked at my company for close to 3 years. I work in the respiratory product development group which means I'm testing inhalers for asthmatic patients. It makes me feel great and superwomanish to know that what I do will eventually help someone years down the line when our products are released. Besides work, I've set a goal to go to the company gym 3 times a week. I said the same thing last year and I never went 3 times a week. I think at the start of the summer, I wasn't going at all. Hopefully I can stick to my goal of hitting the gym 3 times a week. If you have any suggestions on how I can stick to that goal, please let me know

My favorite books include The Accidental Diva by Tia Williams, Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem, Queen of Babble in the City by Meg Cabot, and Size 14 is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabot. I enjoy watching action movies, comedies, & musicals. Some of my favorites are The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express, Superbad, Casino Royale, Mamma Mia, High School Musical 1-3 (I proudly admit to watching a Disney movie geared at teenagers) and Wall-E. Musicals have a special place in my heart because I like to sing. I'm not saying I sound good when I do it but I enjoy it. I have a tendency to belt songs out at the top of my lungs when I'm driving in my car, regardless of who is in the car with me. I'm a huge fan of Raphael Saadiq's music. I saw him a few months ago in NYC and it was possibly the best concert of my life. Aside from Raphael Saadiq I like a range of different artists which include: Donny Hathaway, Teedra Moses, Craig David, Gym Class Heroes, Foreign Exchange, Beyonce, Jazmine Sullivan, Pink, Mariah Carey, Gavin Degraw, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Drake (his new mixtape is incredibly good), The Dream, Gnarls Barkley & Roy Hargrove.

i may come off as a little shy and nervous but once i get to talk to you and know you i open up my self up faster than a whores leg in amsterdam maybe not that fast but you know what i mean.
