Hi there! Alright, so here's the scoop..

I'm pretty awesome. I have a genuine, down-to-earth demeanor, a dry wit, and I live with a Congo African Grey parrot who is as cool as pets get.

If you appreciate subtly clever humor, you will think I am hilarious. If you don't get jokes unless they are delivered Dane Cook style, you will find me boring, and that's fine with me.

There is a part of me that is a complete and utter nerd, so for example, I will more often prefer a nature/space/science documentary over a hollywood blockbuster. I love learning. However, my movie preferences may change now that my day-to-day life is going to be inundated with science. We'll see.

I used to play the trumpet... a lot. My experience in bands has had a profound influence on my life. Many of my most admirable qualities are direct results of my marching band experience, and I will even go so far as to say that most of my favorite memories are marching related, so it’s quite important to me. I'm also a drum corps (DCI) veteran if you know what that is.

I’m fairly well traveled too. I’ve been all over the states plus England, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Japan, and Thailand. My current persona is an amalgamation of those experiences. I like assimilating those different cultures into a more well-rounded me, and in general I find profound value in the knowledge we all gain from exposure to varied perspectives.

Brace yourself. I am a proud atheist in spite of the horribly negative stigma associated with the word. I consider the renunciation of religion a profound liberation. I wouldn't mind meeting people to share that with. I can't think of any other dealbreakers besides this as far as relationships go. Hopefully we can all still be friends though. :-)

I am shy at the core, yet confident and proud of who I am. That may seem like a contradiction, but it suits me quite comfortably. My friends find it endearing and have jokingly given me a reputation of thinking too highly of myself. It has become somewhat of a running joke between us all. I put up with it because I'm way more awesome than they are.
