Life is a journey and an enjoyable one at that. I've found that I enjoy it more sharing the path with a companion! I consider myself a happy, glass half full, type of guy and always try to look at the brighter side of life and enjoy putting a smile on someone's face.

I'm a former Army guy, current Navy Reserve (Chief). I've done a tour in Baghdad, Iraq. It was a life-changing event that I will never forget. Plenty of conversation there if you are interested.

I'm also relatively fit. I stay active by hitting the gym, hiking, walking and bicycling. I'm hoping for someone who cares about themselves too, though I'm no athlete so don't get too scared.

I have two kids and started very young in parenting. They are both over 18 and transitioning well into adulthood. That leaves me...hmmm...needing someone to cook for! You'll find me in the kitchen quite often as it's one of the things I enjoy most. Of course, it's even better when shared with someone special sipping on some vino.

Education includes a variety of military training, a B.A. in Visual Arts and a M.Ed. in secondary education. I don't teach, though I have done some adjunct work at UTC. It was more of a goal-setting thing than anything. I've jumped from a variety of aircraft and even met a president once!

Goals: I consider life a journey and have much left to do. That said, things on the top of my list include (but aren't limited to!) learning to sail, getting back to Europe especially visiting Italy, visiting California wine country (or Chili's, or Argentina's, or Australia's!), and the list continues to grow! I recently took up SCUBA and am looking forward to a trip in 2010 somewhere blue!

Life truly is a journey best spent with someone special. So...where are you?

Depends on the person and situation. After just emails on here, coffee or drinks are an easy thing and allows us to get to know each other. You get to take in all the senses...not just black and white text on your monitor. Maybe a little hike or a trip on the bike for ice cream? Of course, I love to cook so a nice quiet evening would be very nice too...what do you like to eat?
