Hi! Not the best time to get writer's block, so I guess I should start with the basics. I’m Rob, I’ve just jumped the huge 30 barrier and I live in not-so-sunny Wakefield. Not sure if I’m the best person to describe my personality traits, but I'd like to think I’m loyal, honest, pretty easy going (if a little shy at first!) and seem to get on with most people. My friends might be a little more gushing about me but I couldnt possibly comment, but if I hear "nice" one more time it may tip me over the edge. In a "nice" way, of course... ;-) I could list a stream of other adjectives to describe me and my ways, but where's the fun in finding them written here? That's for you to find out...!!!!!

As for what I like, I'm a huge rugby league fan and follow St Helens. Please dont hold that against me! I'd love to get to more games but the distance is restrictive so I have to pick and choose the right ones. I'm also into real ale (currently getting ready to brew my next batch), horror movies and fiction, hard rock & punk and wishing I was born with enough musical talent to string a few notes together on my guitar. I'd love to travel to so many places, with Sri Lanka, Thailand, Australia, NZ, Japan all on my big wish list. Failing that, I'd settle for at least a bit of sun and sand this year!

As for the type of person I’d like to meet then I’d say the most important things would be; someone who is positive and full of life, is funny and smart, someone who's open, honest and isn’t scared to say how they feel or experience new things, and also someone who's warm, affectionate & genuine. Someone to possibly share with me the larger things in life, as well as the day-to-day fun and giggles! Fingers crossed, I'm not being too selective - if you tick some of those boxes, it's a great start! Plus, I’m not going to lie and say that physical appearance doesnt matter, because I think being attracted to a potential partner is important. Hopefully it doesn’t come across as being shallow, more as being honest! Plus if you had an interest in the things I like then that would just be an extra bonus! But then again, I've always found that opposites attract (well done Paula Abdul...), so learning about and embracing someone elses interests that aren't like mine would be kinda fun I guess.

So if you think from what you’ve already heard that I might be worth a shot, and you’d like to get to know more about me than what's in these few paragraphs, then I’d love to hear from you. Go on, just press that little button up there, you never know what it might lead to...

It depends on what your comfortable doing! What I mean is that I'd be happy going out for a drink or a bite to eat (especially if it's at my fave local pizzeria or restaurant), or if you're willing to be a bit more adventurous to break the ice then I'm up for anything (within reason!). A walk in the country? A comedy club? Salsa dancing? Tandem skydive? Alright, I was kidding about the last one.....
