Hi there!
I'm a single fella who works in the city and lives in the near west 'burbs. I'm simply looking for someone personable and good natured, who might also be athletic/active, romantic, easygoing and playful for friendship, but ideally more. And yes, while there has to be physical attraction, I do desire a solid balance of mental/physical. I hope you do, too! Mandating a specific age for an ideal match is not realistic since 30 can be more mature than 45 and 45 can be more active than 30; however, a range of 30-45 is probably about right.
I tend to prefer the girl-next-door with an active lifestyle to the diva. In essence, that means an ability to slip into a baseball cap sans makeup on a Sunday morning to grab Starbucks, go for a hike, or shop at Home Depot or Target. Simple can sometimes be better, though I definitely appreciate a woman who can work the other extreme and clean up nicely for a romantic dinner. I'm not someone who frequents the clubs, so if that's still in your system we probably walk two different paths. I do, however, like the romantic ambiance of a wine bar, a good bar and grill, a mellow lounge, the relaxed coffeehouse, and other comparable settings and venues. I love to travel as well, getting away every couple months to enjoy the various timeshare resorts.
It'd be wonderful to meet someone special, but everyday life itself can make that difficult. So, I decided to go the online route. If I meet someone along the way and we simply decide we're better as friends, that's not such a bad thing to embrace.
