I like to do moderate outdoor activity - biking, hiking, etc. Moderate fitness at the gym, yoga, and I eat fairly healthy. I’m retired from my day job and now have a second career that I totally love. I’m the most stable, easy-going, loyal, no-drama guy you’ll ever meet. Last summer I went 30 days without spending any money and 30 days without driving, just for the fun of it. Amazingly, it was a most rewarding experience that I’d like to repeat this summer. Even though I like to live a waste not – want not lifestyle, I certainly like to be guilty of some of the finer things in life, too. Every morning I wake up and feel like I am the richest person in the world – I have ample nutrition and a living space such that I am living better than 90% of the world’s population. The only thing missing in my life is – you. I do some community organizing and enjoy that very much. I’m very intelligent with a wide variety of interests, and most people find I have an interesting perspective on things. As such, I tend to gravitate towards intelligent and educated ladies. I was born into a large, close family and family is very important to me. I usually listen to NPR or classical music, although I do like most non-hip-hip music. In all relationships, I believe it is critical to know thyself. If you don’t really know yourself you can’t really know (thus love) anyone else. If you can’t accept yourself exactly the way you are, including your faults, you can’t accept other people exactly the way they are either. If you have what it takes, I am very open to your age and situation: younger, same age, older. Although I have more or less come to accept that my biological clock has probably already ticked its last tock, it is still possible for me to re-visit that issue. I am not a very religious person, just am not much of a church-goer, that’s all. I do, however, have a very strong sense of being part of something much greater. I am generally OK with pets, although I do have limits there. Trying to sleep with four 150-pound dogs in my bed is not something I can see in my future in this lifetime. I stopped smoking in 1988 and find it hard to imagine being in a serious relationship with someone who smokes. I do not drink, and as long as drinking is only an ancillary part of your life and activities I don’t foresee any problems there either. My dream vacation is to backpack for a month along the Rhine or in the Alps. Are you free for a month this summer? Sprechen Sie Deutsch, ja?
