I was married for 30 years and now I'm really looking forward to chapter two. My children are grown, my career is established, and I'm excited to begin a new relationship. I think middle-aged men with laugh lines are incredibly sexy, and dating is much more fun now than it was when I was in my 20's.

My perfect match will know who he is - the good stuff and the bad stuff, too. He knows what's going on in the world and has an educated opinion to offer. If he listens to NPR, that's a major plus (especially if we can listen to Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me).

I'm a middle school technology coordinator, which means I teach kids how to use computers and I work with classroom teachers to figure out how to integrate technology into education (it's more fun than it sounds). I will admit to having more than my share of the geek gene - Wired Magazine shares a space on my nightstand along with Bon Appetit.

Creativity is a major part of my personality and my life. As a teacher, I use creativity every day in my work, but I also love to try new art forms. I enjoy associating with creative people, whether it’s expressed through visual arts, music, poetry or prose.

I want to feel like the person I’m with is in my court all the time, and that I’m a better person for being in the relationship. I'm fascinated by men who can make me laugh, have something to teach me, and an opinion to share... C'mon - stretch my brain a little.

For the first time we meet, it should be a no pressure coffee. It's a successful meeting if we leave knowing that we're excited to get together again, or even that we'd rather be friends. We don't know if we don't meet, right?
