I am really into anything with an intellectual edge to it: novels, poetry, music, film, art, etc. I have always been a heavy reader, and earned a BA in English recently. I am currently pursuing a career in writing while holding a job on the side. A few of my favorite writers are Walt Whitman, Stephen King, Neal Stephenson, Isaac Asimov, David Sedaris, and Shakespeare.

Film, as I said, is a huge passion of mine, and I enjoy just about anything that makes me think. That being said, I can still enjoy a mindless action movie. Scorcese, Kubrick, Tarantino are a just a few of my favorite directors.

Other than all the intellectual stuff, I love St. Louis sports. I love going down to Busch and listening to the crack of the bat all afternoon, and the other half of the year, the Blues definitely make me bleed blue.

Enough about my hobbies though. I am here to meet someone that shares my interests and wants to get to know me. I want to find someone that is a good conversationalist while still having a sense of humor. I am here to find a connection. I am not into games, so don't waste my time with lies. I have found that open and honest is the way to go.

I am not really into the whole dinner and a movie thing the first time around. I can't imagine anything more awkward than sitting next to someone I barely know and not talking the entire time.

As far as what I would do, I think that something as simple as conversation over a cup of coffee would work for me. Depending if the particular person is into sports, something like a Cardinals game could be fun. The only thing I would be really looking for is a forum in which two people could talk and get to know each other better.
