well, i was happy for a while there, life goes on...

i got to travel some at a young age with my family who would take long road trips to go camping all over from Florida to Nova Scotia. After high school I took a 3-month trip to Transylvania Romania with 2 friends from school that grew up there…that did it for me! I returned alone the next year and spent another 15 months roaming the country and all Eastern Europe (yugo was at war, I skipped that)

After college I felt trapped in one office job after another. the typical pitiful 2-week vacation most of us (Americans) get hardly left opportunity for the type of traveling I’d grown fond of... Since recently leaving my old career, essentially reclaiming my life, I’ve been trying to catch up with my need to explore,really see & experience the world and all it has to offer me. started mostly with trips around the country , and a few to central America and Caribbean isles. Plenty of places on my list,

i worked in CADD/GIS,mapping & design for ages it seems…from civil and environmental engineering (most challenging and gratifying),architectural,garden/landscape, and lastly high end audio-visual installations(most gluttonous /wasteful industry i worked in)..
now I’ve pretty much figured out what’s most important to me in life right now and want to focus on those things… Expressing my creative side, building strong relationships and connecting to community, social & environmental stewardship, living authentically and with purpose, and of course nurturing myself with plenty of free time for travel! For me and for now , this all equates to pursuing my art, craftwork and music as my current vocation…supplementing that with other ventures,freelancing,teaching workshops,organizing events, part-time projects, volunteering when i can,and so on... It’s been Very interesting , big ups and big downs. Learning a lot about myself. Won’t say I couldn't be happier, since then I won’t be . I Can say though despite the difficulties i face it’s been one of the best moves I’ve made, given me new found motivation, pride, inspiration, a fresh perspective on life and what truly matters ~

I have a wide variety of interests & passions. Spending time in nature ,hiking, camping...Love the water. oceans, lakes, rivers, waterfalls... I tend to gravitate from one to another in cycles, like the tide. I’ll get focused on one for a while then move on and return later when my energy shifts again. Do that most between making music and building things (and seasonal activities). Very low key, humble, approachable and open about myself (obviously!), ask me anything~
Love animals, they're the main reason I went vegetarian, I should be vegan considering my motives, but I love cheese haha, working/struggling towards it... I have a crazy little jack Russell terrier, adopted. im NOT a veggie-nazi/mafia/chastiser,you do what you think is right...

in my workshop I get into all types of fine/rustic-craft incorporating recycled/re-purposed natural materials.
I mill my own lumber from fallen or discarded residential trees as an ECOpreneurial side-project.harvest my bamboo locally from yards and parks..eventually it all becomes woodturnings, scrollwork, artistic furniture, bamboo ethnic flutes (my 1st love)& hand-drums. sometimes get into clay/ceramics, hypertufa, glass etching; I’d like to learn boat building (kayaks and small sailboats). i enjoy design work such as landscape/garden,interior, furniture,etc…. .built an organic square-foot style garden ,even got hardy kiwis growing now ...

into all kinds of good music..the music i Personally play is mostly limited to world/cultural genres, and to the flutes & drums i make.. influenced by : Native American ,Japanese ,Indian, Middle-Eastern ,Celtic etc.. experimental "open music", meditative, sound healing, in the past i also played and sometimes lead Kirtans as part of Nada yoga(union through sound) and bhakti yoga(union through devotion)i havent gone to any in a long time now.
