I have been divorced for 8 years and did not date while children were young, but they are getting older and leaving the nest and I have more time for me. I try to run/walk/ride my bike 5 days a week and would love to find a workout partner. I have been doing this for about 3 years and am getting tired of working out alone. I love singing and am looking into joining a choral group this fall if my work schedule allows me to. I enjoy watching most sports, especially football and baseball. I love to dance (especially in my own family room with the stereo), but I would also love to take lessons and really learn how to do it right. I enjoy traveling.
I am a nurse in a suburban hospital and have been nursing for 29 years. I take care of postpartum patients and babies and I love my job. I am a pretty calm and even-tempered person and appreciate the same in those that I would date.
My taste in music is a little varied. I mostly listen to easy-listening, both oldies and more recent groups. I enjoy some rock, some country. I love instrumental movie themes, especially those written by John Williams. I am not very fond of most jazz or blues.
I have been alone for a number of years and can take care of myself, but I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to-that I want someone I can lean on and who can lean on me, someone to help smooth the bumps in the road and make life fun.

Usually I like a first date to be something that we can talk and learn a little about each other. Maybe going to dinner or getting coffee somewhere we don't feel rushed.
