I am just one of those down-to-Earth guys that has been single so far in life, and is still hoping someday he may find a great friend and companion to spend his remaining days here on Earth with. You may wonder at my age what is wrong with this guy if he is still single. Well I have had a couple of long-term relationships. I was fortunate to become best friends with both of the ladies involved, however I could do nothing short of just loving them as both wound up battling cancer after we had met. Losing someone as a result of such an aweful disease can really be difficult, but both of them were direct with me and insisted I not give up seeking a mate once they were gone. So that is why I have posted my profile on here for now. Maybe I will meet and make a friend or two, or perhaps finally meet and find that special someone that I am to grow old with.

I also am a Christian, not perfect but trying to exist as I should while here.

There are so many things a person could do on a first date, but I think the most important thing is for both people to just relax and be honest with each other. Be who you are, and things would go great.

I don't think there is any particular place a person needs to go, other than one that allows both people to talk freely and openly and get a friendship off to a great start.
