About Me
From the rocks and the waves we were born. In the collision of stars the mind awakes. The conflict is endless. There is no escape, only resilience. Unending forgiveness, repentance and folly.
Love is a state that comes and goes. It is an agreement to stay behind while others run ahead. It is a team that carves out a warm cocoon in the midst of the harsh blizzard. Love opens the heart. In the heart there is joy. But there is also pain. We would feign open only one half, but it is impossible. The joy and pain are inextricably linked. For a few months we may control what we let out. We ride high on the wings of new love, of infatuation. But we must, in the end, find each other's dark places. As vulnerability and trust grows, the pain of being born into this cold world comes to the surface. Love warms our bed at nights as it warms the heart used to dissapointment. Love is what keeps us together as we free ourselves of the shackles we have placed on our own hearts. This is not something that happens overnight. It takes years to build trust, to stumble and fall together. Like a newborn learning to walk. It is not necessarily done with the first person who catches our eye, or the most dazzling one in the room. These are lights glinting off the surface, fires that flare up quickly and burn out before the deep embers have begun to smolder. These are not the true currents that guide the geography of our hearts. These are not the everlasting flame, deep inside, that allows love to be rekindled day after day, season after season. Once trust is established, vulnerability develops and the heart begins to open. There are many mistakes. We are no more perfect nor flawed than our lover. The old pain can easily mingle with the new. But if there are trust and forgiveness, there is the will to hold on. If the deep center is lit, there will always be a new flame.
I am looking for a woman full of the beauty and pain of life. A woman with the confidence to step forward, one step at a time. I do not know where we will go.
I've got a soft spot for women wearing glasses or hats. Yummy.
