I am a 35 year old single Dad of a 10 year old little girl who is the absolute joy of my life.

I enjoy going to dinner, movies, sporting events, shooting pool, and live music, blah, blah, Yeah, who doesn't? These are all well and good, but I want to know some of the little things you enjoy that may seem arbitrary to most people, but you just can't get through life without? What are some of your quirks or habits that make you, well…you.

My father raised me to respect women and he led by example. Chivalry seems to be dead, but I intend to bring it back to life. I open doors for a lady and lovingly rest my hand on your back as you walk through. I'll pull out your chair in a restaurant, and bring flowers now and then for no particular reason (and not the ones you can steal from the cemetery, either ladies. Oh, no. I'm talkin' the $10 dozen rose special at Dandi Lyons baby!!!!...... How's that for romance, huh?)

I am a very straight forward guy who is 100% honest and loyal and one of the most hard working, family oriented men you will ever meet. I am very affectionate but not clingy. There is nothing better than that perfect kiss full of passion and love (yes, ladies. I said the "L" word. I'm not afraid of it. Believe me, I've said worse words before.) That quiet time with someone where you can just laugh and hug and enjoy each others company is better than.... well, whatever. You get the drift. :)

I have a very sarcastic, quick-witted, dirty sense of humor. I need someone who can dish it out as well as I can. I am looking for a woman who can take a really awful, dirty, sometimes un-P.C. joke and run with it. That being said, I also hold my own in a conversation and am just as serious and mature as the next person.

By now you are probably thinking to yourself:
"Wow!!!! How is this awesome specimen of a man still single?" I know, I know.... it's beyond my comprehension too. But alas, here I am. But here is how you can land this deal of a lifetime:

I am looking for a single mother of 1 or 2 kids who knows what it's like to raise a child as a single parent. I don't have my daughter full time. I share her with her mother and it's a pretty even split. I have some free time alone to give and hope to find another woman with the same. I don't want to have any more kids in the future. I would like to find a woman who is intelligent with a good head on their shoulders. A woman who is emotionally and financially stable and career driven. I appreciate a strong, independent woman who can stand her ground and yet be gentle and understanding if I stress out because I have been slaving over a hot microwave all day preparing a mean dish of Lean Cuisine that just doesn't come out like it does on the box. Hey, we guys need to be told it's OK every once in a while too, you know. (even though it's really not OK. I mean, come on. Who the hell really believes that those things can come out even remotely close to the picture on the package?)

Let's face it, first dates are tough. It's full of self doubt ( should I, shouldn't I? Will he, won't he? Does she, doesn't she?..... )Let's keep it simple, yet fun. An amusement park? A zoo? A trip to the beach? Drinks and dinner at a pub/sports bar of your choice? There are endless possibilities. It all comes down to how two people connect on the phone, through e-mail, etc. There is no perfect answer. It's something to decide together.
