I will always be a student of life, always learning and discovering new people and things. I believe in fairness and justice in an unfair and unjust world, which explains why I am finishing up my degree in law. I am scheduled to graduate in May, then take the Bar in July. After I pass the Bar, I want to work to protect the rights of special needs children.

Intellectual conversation over coffee is one of my favorite things. I enjoy hearing opposing opinions and intelligent discussion. I enjoy being with people who are confident enough to voice their opinion yet open-minded enough to consider both sides. I always stand up for what I believe in and expect others to do so as well.

I am divorced and have a friendly relationship with my ex-husband. Our children are 19 and 16.

Some of my favorite things to do ...
...attending sporting events especially college. There is no better way to spend a fall Saturday than at Jordan Hare Stadium, or road-tripping to Lexington for a basketball game and if there is no time for travel then there is always Thirsty Thursday at the Met.
...read, anything from the beach novel to The Art of War
...home renovation...one day I would love to own a historic home that I renovated myself.
...traveling for long weekends or extended vacations. I love the beach, the mountains, but especially places I have yet to see. How can you say you have lived if you haven't seen the world?
...entertaining. I love to entertain, whether it be an intimate setting or a crowd of friends. I like being the hostess! If you appreciate my cooking, (and you will!), you can show your gratitude by taking me out too!
...you have to like to laugh...with me and at me (and don't be afraid to laugh at yourself too).

I have funny, twisted things happen to me all the time, so be prepared to laugh a lot!
