I feel a bit odd writing stuff about myself, but I'll give it a go. I'm a long-divorced mother of two boys who are for the most part grown and on their own. When you're busy raising kids, there's not much time left for 'me'. Anyone know that feeling? Anyone? I love so many different things. I have to say that the outdoors is my favorite place to spend my time, but there's more to me than that. Indoor pursuits as well as outdoor. All things in good measure. I enjoy Hiking. Skiing. (I'm an especially big fan of the bunny slopes ;). Gazing at the night sky. Or just letting the sun warm my face on a cold day. I have a tremendous love of music, especially live, with a wide range of tastes. I'm always up for a good movie, especially a well-made indie. My biggest passion is photography, I like experimenting with perspective, composure, lighting. There's many, many things I want to do. I never want to stop learning, experiencing new things, or seeing new places.

I completely own my imperfections. We all have character flaws, it's part of human nature. I am always striving to improve myself, to be an honest responsible adult, and do no harm to others. To be a good steward of the things that life has given me. When all is said and done, the only thing you can take with you to your grave is your integrity. I have a good heart and a quick sense of humor. I'm easy going. Self-reliant. Mature. Happy. All it takes to make the day a good one is a laugh. Give it a try, it's great! As corny as some people may find it, I prefer the Golden Rule. Karma. It's real. I am looking for a friend and companion who values integrity, honesty, and has morals. You should also have some sense of environmental responsibility. Few things trouble me more than to see people who treat this big blue marble that is our home as their own personal trash can. We have to take care of this planet that feeds and shelters us. I'd like to meet someone who will appreciate a genuine, humble person. I'm ready for some company. If you'd like to drop me a line, that's awesome. But don't tell me something you think I want to hear. Tell me something real.

First date? Where to go on that first date can be part of the conversation during the first meeting. Meeting someone for the first time should be an opportunity to talk, see if you feel comfortable in each other's company, and want to take more time getting to know them. Not everyone drinks coffee, movies don't give you a chance to talk (if you're polite, anyway). Sitting outside in a quiet place, going for a walk, that sort of thing is conducive to good conversation. Anyone agree?
