About Me
I am an easygoing, honest 35 year old gentleman who is looking for someone to share a few laughs, thoughts, insights and general worldviews with. I enjoy going skydiving, amusement parks, board games, as well as walks in the park or on the beach. I am fascinated by the world around us and I find that even the little things tend to make me think and smile. I want to find someone who can laugh with/at me (my humor varies, from sarcasm, to dry wit, to slapstick and just about everywhere in between) and still be able to hold an intelligent conversation. I am the type of person who thinks of the glass as being totally full, just partly filled with water, and partly filled with air. We need both to survive.
I was a gymnast, diver and trampolinist in my younger days, and I prefer to think of myself as being in relatively decent shape. I'm 5'11" 175 lbs with long brown hair and hypnotic (or so I have been told) hazel/blue eyes.
Beliefs: I believe a relationship should have a total that is greater than the sum of its parts. I believe skating on thin ice can get you into hot water. I believe fate cant be denied. I believe that some people walk a path in life and that others create a path. I believe that if you live each day like it's your last, one day, you'll be right. I believe famous last words are for those who didn't say enough during their life. I believe getting old is ok, as long as you don't let old get you.
One of my main goals in life is to make people smile, laugh and think. Those are things we all need to do every day. As for my practical goals, I am hoping to become a successful massage therapist soon, and for my long term aspirations, I would like to be able to open an indoor skydiving facility or my own gymnastics school.
I prefer listening to classic rock, but I consider my musical taste to be quite varied. I can enjoy everything from bluegrass, to jazz, to alternative, to heavier stuff as well. However I am not much of a rap/hip hop or country music fan though.
I don't want to get too much into myself here, because that is part of the fun of chatting with people, is finding out about them through conversation. If you are looking for Mr. GQ who is relying on his physical appearance to get him through life, keep on going. (And ask yourself why.) If you are searching for someone who will be charming, faithful, funny, mentally stimulating, sweet, outgoing, adventurous and honest with you, then look no further. I am here. Snatch me up before someone else does. I am diamonds on the inside and hey, I am cute too.
I differ from most other men because I have never...
1. Shot a deer.
2. Tricked out my car.
3. Used hair gel.
4. Slept with Pam Anderson.
5. Knocked someone out.
6. Been knocked out.
7. Woke up with a tattoo.
8. Been afraid to ask for directions.
9. Tried to burp the alphabet.
10. Said show me your ( . Y . ) to a woman.
11. Gotten a speeding ticket. (Knock on wood)
12. Owned a pair of Z Cavaricci's when I was growing up. (There's a flashback reference for ya.)
The ways I am like most other men, I....
1. Have bragged about my shoe size with underlying intent.
2. Leave the seat up.
3. Mix my lights and darks when doing laundry.
4. Hate to lose.
5. Find wrestling to be entertaining.
6. Have never watched Oprah.
7. Never read Cosmo.
8. Nearly burned my house down while trying to cook several times.
9. Prefer to eat out. See number 8.
10. Have given flowers to get out of hot water.

Likes : Sarcasm, rhinos, card tricks, shooting pool (even though I'm not very good at it), laughing till it hurts, helping little old ladies across the street, rescuing kittens from trees, baby carrots(how do carrots make babies?), inspirational lyrics, rolling thunder, cool breezes, cloudless nights in the mountains, broccoli, lack of inhibition, saying have a nice day to toll both workers, watching people make idiots of themselves, Chinese food, the smell of blueberries, riddles, scenic drives in autumn, anything that reminds me of my childhood, crosswords, Robot Chicken, the sound of waves crashing on the shore at night, lucid dreaming, gratitude, free filesharing sites, April Fools Day, being "green", living without a mortgage, cauliflower, meteor showers, heated waterbeds in the winter, responses to messages I send, Family Guy, a healthy vocabulary, the color red, sleeping in, staying up, the cold side of the pillow, spectacular sunsets, obscure humor, spontaneity, peach cobbler, giving and getting massages, the smell of rain, commitment, anime, writing in the sand on the beach and watching the waves erase it.
Dislikes: traffic, self centered people, most kinds of cheese, married women who pretend to be single, stubbed toes, huge earrings, people who wear too much cologne/perfume, hangnails, papercuts, rugburn, overtly sexual screen names, politicians, taxes, one sided conversations, drivers who blast their music as they drive through my neighborhood, drunken neighbors knocking on my door, trips to the emergency room (often goes hand in hand with the drunken neighbors), adults who swear Harry Potter isn't just for kids, nursing homes, global warming, wasted words, the smell of whiskey, people who think a thesaurus is a dinosaur, dogs that bark all night long, littering, excessive vulgarity, people who text while at the dinner table, dishing it out but not taking it, having a song stuck in my head and not knowing the title, those who park in two spaces in a crowded parking lot, Will Ferrell (the guy just isn't funny), profiles that give almost no insight on the person.
Finally, a small commentary on the profiles I have read. Ladies, saying you are tired of the game players is not going to stop the game players from trying to play you. That is what they do. It is not like they will read that and say, "Oh wait she doesn't want to be played, so I wont do it." They don't care. I have yet to read a profile where a woman says that she is looking to be played in that way.

First Date
A nice first date, for me, would be in an amusement park. Its easy to get to know someone while waiting on line for the rides. There's plenty of time to talk, and see how the other person reacts to you. The public setting makes for less pressure and the overall pleasant atmosphere is conducive to both people having fun even if the chemistry isn't there. Worst case scenario is that you have a good time, and don't find that special someone. In the end, you both still had fun. Other choices would be a picnic in a park, a walk on the boardwalk or through a corn maze (go ahead I dare you to run).
I can always do the going out for dinner/coffee thing too. I just find it a bit too typical though. If you want to go to the other extreme, we could always toss midgets.
