Well, after trying the online dating thing for a few months, I can tell you the kind of guy I am NOT looking for... (The following should be read with a sense of humor and very tongue in cheek...)

* Don't ask me out if your only intention is to get me in bed on the first date. There are plenty of girls on here that will do that. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them.

* Please have all of your teeth, thank you.

* Please don't put 20 year old pictures of yourself up here for viewing. It doesn't do either of us any good. If we end up meeting, what do you plan to do if you look nothing like your pics?

* Please don't have any psycho ex's that I have to worry about. I live my life drama free and would hope that you do the same.

* If you have a problem with kids, then you should just click on the next profile. I have three of them. Not looking for a baby daddy, just someone decent who like kids.

* No, I will not be spawning any new children. So if you are looking for a human Xerox machine, again, the next profile over is a good one. :)

* Please be financially secure. I am. I don't need you to buy me the moon and the stars, but I do need to feel secure that when you do ask me out, I don't need to be caught off guard with no cash when you subtly pass me the bill (yup, it's happened). If I ask you out, its a different story. I have no problem whatsoever picking up the tab. What's fair is fair, right? Besides, by you NOT asking me to help you cover your rent (because you see that I am not struggling) is really kind of a turn-on. Asking me to buy you socks and underwear because you cannot afford it, is not.

* Please know how to text message. People these days are so busy, its so much easier to text a few words and say what needs to be said.

* I love to chat online. Its a great way to get to know each other at first without the awkward conversation gaps. For those of you that refuse to chat, keep moving on to the next profile. Its the year 2009 and technologically savvy is really kind of the new black.

* If you look like you are old enough to be my dad, or worse, my grandfather, please don't put us both in the awkward situation by asking me out. I wont be mean, but I will ignore you. My age range is 30's-40's. That doesn't include 50's-60's. Age is number, yes, so I choose the right to be subjective about who I date. And because I am not looking for a sugar daddy, I wont be dating out of my age range.

* In all seriousness, if you don't have manners or common courtesy, I'm not the girl for you. I'm hoping that what your Mom taught you when you were growing up has stuck with you. Being a man of his word is really the ultimate of sexy.

All of the above have been my real life experiences online dating in one form or another. If you can bring something else to the table than that above, I invite you to do so. I am an upfront, tell-it-like-it-is, fun, go with the flow girl that lives pretty drama-free. I have many life experiences under my belt that has shaped the girl I am today. I am ready to find someone special and eventually say later to the dating rat race.

I love sports, road trips, concerts, movies, music, the beach, and anything else that strikes my fancy at a given moment. The guy who wins my heart will have an insane sense of humor, keep me laughing, and not object when I want to cook on the barbecue (I'm a pretty good cook...at least my roommates tell me so). I'm not afraid of commitment (was married only once for 16 years, now divorced), but also not looking to get married tomorrow either (so, you're safe, for now ;). I have a pretty wicked sense of humor. I do believe that laughter is what makes the world go around.

So, will you be the one that changes my mind about meeting someone online?
