OK, we all know you like to hunt and fish...duh. Sorry, I've been reading profiles and it seems like that's what the majority of guys put on them. I know a little bit about hunting, like when the seasons are in...turkey, deer (bow, black powder, gun etc)..and I can bait my own hook with either minnows or worms without cringing...don't know how to use artificial bait, (crank, spinner, jigs etc)...(I can't make them move realistically.) and I can cast a bait cast reel without too big of a rat's nest....but that's not my primary interest. I can do these things and know about alot of them, and woudn't mind doing them, but honestly....don't you guys like to do other things as well????? (LOL, I'm kidding....will probably remove this at some point, I'm in a funny mood this morning!)

I'm a bookworm, I don't go out much to meet new people and am just a little bit commitment phobic. I'm trying to change that, with mixed results. I mean...when push comes to shove...you might be better off looking at another profile if you really want to get close to someone. Hopefully I'll be successful at defeating my inner demons, but I don't want to ask anyone to help. Can we say "conflicted"?...Yah..I got issues. I am divorced and have lived alone with my son since January 2008. I don't have any lingering feelings of affection for the ex, but...I have to admit that there is a certain fear that my judgement might not be any better now than it was when I first met him.....Issues....mine own issues....(sigh)...Battle ON!! :)

I would love to have a boyfriend (is that term still used at our ages??) I don't need a husband yet. I know it sounds weird for me to say that I have commitment issues in one sentence and then say I'd like to have a boyfriend in the next...I TOLD you I have issues, but I'm working on them. Mostly, I don't want to be controlled again. It would take a lot for me to trust with my whole heart again, and if you don't have that kind of time or whatever then we're not for each other. I want to have fun again. (I'll probably re-write this again and again in order to say what I want to say without sounding too strange...but then again....I am a female and a blonde and have been known to change my mind~~alot.)LOL! Oh yeah...I tend to be redundant..and you'll read that *again* if you keep reading.

OK, now what do I like? Well, my job revolves around books, so it's a no brainer to know that I love to read. I enjoy painting and refinishing old furniture and flea market finds. I listen to many kinds of music but country and classic rock are my preferred genres. My favorite color is green, my favorite season is Fall, I don't have a favorite food. Painting things is a passion of mine, I'll paint just about anything if the surface is good. I love to sing while driving down the road, and the longer the drive, the better I like it! I am an Army Brat, and have travelled extensively in my lifetime, but not recently. I smoke cigarettes and am not likely to quit anytime soon, so if that's a dealbreaker for you, click the "next" button. I only have a drink when I'm out with friends (not when I drive myself) or occasionally at home, but not when my son is at home. I would go out to dance clubs, or whatever, if I didn't have to go alone, but since all my friends, at present are married, and don't go out, I just don't go at all. I wear makeup all the time. I consider myself hideous without it. Not a natural beauty by any stretch of the imagination...again...click "next" if natural beauty is a requirement.

I probably shouldn't put this in here, since I AM commitment phobic, but if someone were to sing to me, I would melt like a puddle of goo. (LOL) God, I love singing and being sung to....guitar accompaniment would make the puddle even more melty....(Did I mention that I have a devilish sense of humor?...) I CAN and WILL laugh....often....with you....at you....at myself....alone....often (with a tendency to be redundant)(*TOLD YA SO*)~~even if I don't commit to anything more than friendship. Be warned. ;)

I have two children, a son and a daughter...my daughter (25) is married, (no grandkids yet) and my son is an 12 year old videogameaholic. I enjoy playing games with him sometimes, but he is heartless and whips me consistantly at them. We have two Doxies(aka weiner dogs), (both males) named Oscar and Mayer (the only wieners I need right now) ...and we have two guinea pigs...all of my animals keep me pretty busy.

My life is very full, but I have time for new friendships. I'm more comfortable with email and am very good at conversing in that venue. If our friendship becomes more than just a superficial thing, then it would be great to get to know each other IRL. To me, a friend is someone who wants to know you, your likes, dislikes, things you're comfortable with etc...I've never been real good at getting beyond the surface, in friendships, because of my upbringing, but I do know that if you want to know ME, it'll have to be more than superficial. (There is alot more to me than you can see from my pictures and my words on this site). I don't know how to explain exactly how without going into more detail and that can be saved for my friends.

I work with computers all day and have one at home as well, so if you see me online at odd hours, it doesn't mean that I don't have a job....

Meet someplace public driving our own vehicles, (so I can leave if you're an axe murderer..LOL). I dunno, for a first date it needs to be someplace relatively quiet, so I guess coffee, dinner or drinks. As long as there is the ability to converse...(and leave safely) :D
