I play the piano (classical from music, pop by ear)and love a wide range of music. I'm looking for a man in good shape (like me) with whom to enjoy this senior period of my life, which might include: good conversation, eating out (especially tasty Asian food), attending concerts, plays and occasionally movies, and the many pleasures of friendship and intimacy.

I grew up in New York City, went to the High School of Music & Art, then Brandeis University, then I married and had 3 children (now grown) and eventually, 6 grandchildren. I am now widowed.

In 2001 I wrote (and managed to get published) a book called "All Grown Up: Living Happily Ever After With Your Adult Children". I enjoyed the experience and felt proud to be able to stick with it.

I look forward to meeting a man who is both serious and funny, and stimulating as well. I hope I'm not eliminating just about everyone. I hope I'm not eliminating you.

On a first date with you, I would like to sit down on my couch and, with your help, proceed to solve all (or most) of the problems of the world. Even though I'm very smart, I'm often at a loss to understand what I read in the newspaper. For example, I don't really understand the downturn in the economy; I don't understand why the US can't or won't stand behind gun control when the city of Oakland is falling apart (and European cities have gun control and lower rates of homicide). I could go on.

After our wrestling with ideas,and possibly even reaching some conclusions, I'd like us to sceddadle down to a great Japanese, dim sum or Thai restaurant here in Berkeley.
