I actually enjoy meeting people off this site in person..
(It also works to my advantage that I'm not creepy and don't send creepy messages).

My philosophy is that meeting someone in person, off a dating website, is just as arbitrary as meeting at a club or a bar.
But this way you at least have a fair amount of insight prior to approaching someone, in addition to an initial attraction.
