Right now I'm deployed in Iraq. I will be here until August of 2010. So I'm looking for someone to talk to while I'm here and see if there's anything out there that could turn into more when I get back.

I like to play guitar, however, I'm not that guy who brings a guitar to a picnic and doesn't know how to play. I do know how to play, I've been playing for years.I watch movies. I listen to most music. I like to skate, I used to play hockey. I grew up in Michigan, in the middle of nowhere, I've lived in the desert and in the city and everywhere in between. I like to read whenever I get the chance. Classics for the most part, but I have read some other stuff that I liked a lot. Running With Scissors made me laugh so hard, that I think it's possible that I peed a little. Chuck Palahniuk is my all time favorite author, though. The dark, satirical humor in his novels leaves me in tears from laughing.

When I say I like all kinds of music, it's true. Well...almost. I don't really listen to polka. But I'm sure I would if I heard some that I liked. Mostly anything that I can get stuck in my head. Or if it amuses me. Obviously I'm kind of a music buff.
I love movies. It's a long story, but I've seen lots and lots of movies. And I could talk about movies or music for days.
I don't mind camping, but my idea of camping is probably different from a lot of peoples idea. I've had enough of sleeping in tents in my line of work. I would much rather sleep in the back of my car..lol.
I like fishing, but I'm not a great fisherman. I'm not really even a good fisherman. I'm not gonna lie.
I've been told I'm really funny, but I've also been told that I'm a dork. I don't mind being a dork, I sleep better.
I get along with pretty much anyone...well..not everyone. If you are as dumb as a box of rocks...we probably won't get along too well. If your sense of humor is based solely on fart jokes, then I probably won't be around you much.
I'm a pretty intelligent guy, although my common sense is some what lacking, I'll admit. I've done some things that I'm not proud of in the past, but I always strive to be a better person.

Let me elaborate on things I'm not proud of. For one, I've never been in prison. In fact I've never been arrested. I kind of wish that I had though when I was a kid. Just so I could tell stories about how I got arrested for stealing balloons or something. Actually when I was a little kid I did steal balloons once. I don't even remember the reasoning behind that one. Things I'm not proud of aren't horrible things, just stupid things. Which everyone has stupid things they wished they'd never done. I hope.

I guess I'm not really actively looking for anything in particular. Mostly just someone that shares some interests, and can show me some new stuff to be interested in. I like learning, and I'm almost always up for trying new things, within reason. If you ask me to go shark diving while wearing pork chops around my neck and then play tag with jelly fish, I'm most likely not going to try that.

As of right now, I'm not opposed to dating, but I'm really looking for friends right now. If I was to date, it should include food or coffee...I love both. It should also include some kind of walking...Don't ask me why because I'm not entirely sure. I'm fairly original when it comes to thinking up dates...but don't be too shy to suggest your own ideas.
