While thinking about how to describe myself, I hit a wall and to break this writer’s block I thought “How would I describe anyone or anything?” My thoughts ran into describing my car and it was an “oh my god” experience because in my eyes I am my car.

My car is an older model that still maintains its appearance and performance. It is dependable while requiring some occasional attention to maintain this dependability but it is not high maintenance. It gets reasonable gas mileage while this mileage compares better to other models on the long cruises than in short sprints. It fits in more on the blue jean outings but it still can attract some attention during a formal collection of automobiles. The other drivers, who recognize my car for what it is, appreciate and acknowledge its presence. My car does not try to be anything other than what it is. It is docile in congested traffic but it is quick to respond to a break away. It is always ready for sporting event of acceleration and hard cornering.

A first date is more than likely a first meeting. There are people you have met, gotten to know a little and then started dating. In this situation, an activity to attend is appropriate if not desired. However this first meeting is when both parties are assessing the other. Two-way conversation is a must therefore the noise level needs to be reasonable. While other people close by is wanted, the interaction needs to be one on one. I would be open for most settings but the “traditional” meeting for a drink or coffee while not exciting in itself, provides a good starting point
