Hi, my name is Nick.
I wouldn't consider myself a 'nice guy' in the traditional sense. (For 'nice' read: needy, possessive, jealous, insecure, predictable, weak, fake, sappy - Yeah, I'm none of those things). I'm polite, pleasant and respectful sure enough, but I don't let people take advantage of me or give the presence and status of being a man away.
Anyway, I thought I'd give this whole internet dating thing a try as I'm bored just waiting and hoping to find that special someone waiting around the corner. Meeting a high-quality female on an alcohol-fuelled night out in town is not something that I can rely on either!
One of the things that I enjoy most about life is talking, interacting and socialising with other people. I'm always interested in what they have to say and I like to learn about other peoples experiences and opinions on things. I'm the sort of guy that you can ask anything to. I don't get offended easily and I'm philosophical and open-minded about everything. I feel that I can hold down a good conversation with just about anybody!
Ok, some of my interests. I don't really have a preference for my favourite type of music; I like a select amount of all types. I watch various TV shows such as Lost and 24 and I'm moderately into movies. I say moderately as although I feel a lot of nostalgia towards films from the 80's and 90's I certainly believe that they don't make them like they used to and that the movie industry as a whole seems to be running out of new ideas somewhat! Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked! I think it's important to have a physically active element in your life so I play football and badminton. In addition I take pleasure in getting involved in more sedate activities such as snooker, card games and chess. I enjoy having a laugh out and about with my friends or chilling out at home with my feet up with a few beers watching the football.
I have an enthusiastic, calm and relaxed approach to things and take each day as it comes so if you're up for enjoying yourself and having a good time then send me a message and I'm sure I'll get back to you. x

For a first date I would like to go for a quiet drink where I can get to know the lady whom I'm dating and vice-versa. I think it's the best way for two people to feel comfortable around each other right away, which in turn helps stimulate interesting conversation. Also going for a drink doesn't last as long as going for a full-blown meal, so if the date isn't turning out too well then you're not forced to be in each others company any longer than neccessary!
