My livelihood is based on words,thought and intense engagement with people. That is why my life away from work is a more private thing. I enjoy quiet and solitude in nature to restore myself. When with a group I will track everything that is happening but will have a rather droll interpretation of the activities at times. Maybe kind of a Columboesque playful confusion that a lot of people find humorous. I work part time now because I spent a lot of years working and going to school. Living now is more important than later.There are a lot of things to do and enjoy outside of work.My work does not define me.

I am building my own house of earth (cob). The learning part of it will be finished this summer with the addition of the earth floor and rocket stove The photo of the tiny house on my profile is my progress to date. Permaculture and gardening are my next skills to master.I raise alpacas and am involved in all levels of care with them.When I am done building I will be working with the fiber saved from shearing.


My place is an old farm that I am reviving.When I am not building my house I am reviving the irrigation system and caring for my animals.This year I will shear all 17 and am waiting for the birth of 4 this spring.I get my workout here but lifting weights with a partner would be fun.

The local hot springs know me well as well as the local coffee shop.Those places are my connecting points for superficial banter.

I would love to have an intelligent creative partner to share my more intimate side. Going places with him and checking things out from his perspective would be a good way to shake up my world. If he asked for my suggestions it would be to go to some intimate clubs and catch some jazz or blues, take slow walks looking for artifacts or puzzling over old tools, or maybe watching an art film together.Making things artistic or otherwise would be fun. I am partial to a man with mechanical skills, mental and physical.I love someone who can analyze and tackle a problem with a creative solution.

We wouldn't have to work on the same project, just share the creative process.Parallel play is a good thing.

Nonfiction is my first choice in reading. The first part of my life was bound with books and the limits of language. At this time I prefer to observe and intuit more than label and limit.

I am not looking for a handyman. My place is my project and occasional help or input might be nice but I can hire help anytime.

Affection and sex are important to me. My companion will be interested in taking care of their health in order to enjoy these things.Sex is a playful joyous thing for me.I would rather plan a day around that than have that experience as an afterthought at the end of the day or as an incidental occurrence.If this statement makes you uncomfortable on any level you would be uncomfortable with me.

Ideally I will meet someone and it will turn into a long term relationship. Friendship and companionship need to lead the way to that. Encounters just for the purpose of intimacy are not my style.We meet people face to face everyday. I prefer that. You get a lot of questions answered with visual subtleties that can't be conveyed by words.

I chose the octopus because it is an intelligent sentient being that will tackle and solve problems in ways we don't expect.It has no bones but is incredibly strong.
