About Me
I feel it necessary to speak my mind on something that bothers me. I'm not looking for sex on here, I'm looking to make new friends, find someone to date and if the course of things should happen, to have a long term relationship with someone. As such, I'd like to say this. If I've already sent you a message and you actually bother to look at this profile and read it completely, then know this I never turn down a chance to make a new friend and if you've received an email form me then that means I think we'd make good friends. Your profile can only give me the broadest of image of the person you are, so it's very presumptuous of me to think that just reading your profile is enough for me to decide if we're compatible. I can't make that decision until I've corresponded with you, or even spoken in person or over the phone. So if you hear from me then I hope that you aren't the kind of person who doesn't like to make friends. If you aren't willing to make friends, then how can you expect to find love?
Well, there's a lot to write in such a concise space but I'll put the basics. My hobbies are about as varied as my interests, from enjoying time outdoors to staying in and playing games as long as I'm doing something fun with fun people I'm pretty much easy to please. I love movies, mostly action and comedy but I like a good drama if the mood suits me.
I like to write a little, mostly for my own enjoyment, nothing serious (yet). I enjoy playing games from boardgames and tabletops to videogames. I love a good hike, though there aren't any mountains in Florida. Swimming, scuba-diving (it's been a while), horseback riding, football, baseball. I'm pretty open to trying new things at least once. Eventually I want to get a house, a specific kind, be wealthy and travel, but then who doesn't want those things. I want to go back to Australia, it's on the top of my travel list because it was amazing. As for myself, well, I like to think that I'm pretty funny, a little on the silly side but I like to make people laugh. I'm a nice guy, sometimes too nice for my own good and I try to treat everyone as respectfully as I want to be treated. I'm also probably too romantic for my own good and though I sometimes seem a little shy or hold my tongue when in a confrontation to keep it from getting worse, once I've made up my mind, or have had enough I can be very blunt, honest, but blunt.
Music. Hmm, well I'm pretty easy when it comes to my taste in music, If I like a song I hear then well, obviously I like it. Though I tend to dislike certain genres, such as country (a few artists are exceptions) and I hate rap (again I've heard a few songs I like). My favorite bands are Aerosmith, Metallica, Queen, Godsmack, Poison, Bon Jovi, U2, Nightwish, Daft Punk, Linkin Park, Enigma, Lacuna Coil, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig Von Beethoven and John Williams. I grew up listening to classical music, even learned to play the piano, though it's been years.
I love life and to laugh, I'm happiest when I'm making others happy and want to be able to do what I want, whenever I wish. Again, who doesn't. Another key aspect of my personality to point out, well two actually, is that I'm very much a dork (and proud of it) and am cheesy to a fault. I've found myself frequently getting nudged after a comment by a rosy-cheeked woman after making a very tasteful yet cheesy comment. I guess it's difficult for women to take compliments without showing aggression?
I thought I'd update my profile a little, since I noticed I had neglected to put any information about what I do for a living. I currently work for Universal Orlando Resort as part of Entertainment, I mostly work Halloween Horror Nights, but I also work Macy's and Mardi Gras. I've worked for or on UO property for the last 9 years and I have 10 years experience in the Hospitality, Entertainment and Service Industry. I've also worked, until recently at the AMC theater on Citywalk, where I had worked for 3 years, but I decided I wanted a better job even though I loved being a projectionist there. I'm also a part of a talent agency and am doing what I can to further my experiences in the Entertainment Industry which is one of my main goals, along with becoming a stuntman for films and television.
Everyone says that Chivalry is dead, that there are no nice guys left anywhere in the world. I know this to be false, we are here, walking among you but because we are nice guys we slip through the cracks, we don't do the mean, macho, testosterone things that make a woman take notice of us and then a few months down the line hurt them, break their hearts and give them that felling of resentment towards all men. We hide, mostly because women, or society or whatever, has nearly made Chivalry extinct. And so we live, being the nice, best friend, or nice coworker that is a great friend but not date material because we are the very thing women look for, they never see us until it's too late. Until they have been through hundreds or thousands or ***holes, jerks, creeps and whatever other colourful name you can think for them and they're tired, and the wisdom that comes with the age and experience of the life they've lived has caught up with them and they realize they've worked and spent countless hours talking to the very guys they've always wanted to be with but couldn't see it. And the same can be said for women, Chivalry is not just a male virtue, in this day and age even women can be chivalrous and in those cases, guys who are looking for women that aren't materialistic, don't have drama or play games and are everything they want, get looked over. So the next time you talk to that nice guy, or girl who helps you and treats you well, because they honestly don't expect you to even notice them...notice them. Say hi and you may find the greatest companion you've ever met.
That's all for now, if you'd like to know more than please ask. *I'd like to add a note here. When I get a message from someone and I decide that they aren't the one for me, or I'm just not interested, I have to courtesy to tell them why I deleted their message after reading it. I'd like someone to do the same for me and I always reply to messages I get as soon as I am able*
First Date
What to do for a first date? Well, that would pretty much depend on the woman and her interests. I would say, though perhaps a bit cliche dinner and a movie works for some but it's not as conducive to communication as other methods, but I've also found that going to theme parks is a nice ice breaker, if for no other reason than if it doesn't work out everyone can still have fun. Ultimately I would ask the lady want she was interested in doing, since it's a mutual experience and it isn't fair to her for me to decide the whole evening. Regardless of where/what we do, I would take her to dinner, whether that be a nice sit down restaurant, or a burger joint, the location and food don't matter, it's the company that's important. And to close the night, perhaps an evening stroll around somewhere before going our separate ways for the night or go to one place or another to continue our conversation. I'm a night owl by nature so I'm used to staying up at all hours of the morning.
