About Me
Me in a nutshell (no prizes for guessing who's the nut)
I am a carbon based organism whose ancestors descended from the trees (most probably Apple). Several mutations later - voila - me! (hey, they tried, you know).
Based on Earth years, I am 35 - although I feel 6 at times (a world to explore). Given top marks by my psychiatrist ("fit for rehabilitation and mingling with normal people i.e. if you can find normal people") whom I suspect bought his couch from the flea market.
Been in the US for about 11 years and have traveled around the world a bit during childhood. Checked out Brazil and Alaska last year. Well read, great conversationalist, and very easy to mingle with.
Have a well developed sense of humor (the seventh sense so to speak). I gym frequently, do Yoga, meditate now and then.
What I'm doing with my life ---------------------------- 1) Pay the bills 2) Decrease my carbon footprint 3) Improve in some way every week 4) Learn Spanish (hola senorita!) 5) Keep fit - both physical, mental, and fiscal 6) To be continued
I'm really good at ---------------------- * Humor * Short stories * Conversations * Creativity * With my hands * Chem lab er.. I mean cooking * Empathy * Cranium * Converting oxygen into carbon dioxide * Digestion
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me: -------------------------------------------------- * The stuffed vulture perched on my shoulder * The mischievous sparkle in my eyes * That I am scoping out the exits if I need to use them suddenly * My socks match * The cat in my hat (is there a Dr. in the house?) * The irresistible magnetism which leads to the conclusion that we are 'poles' part * That I'm outraged when women try to slip me a Mickey since I personally prefer Goofy
My favorite books, movies, music, and food ------------------------------------------ Books ------- The Lords of the Rings Autobiography of a Yogi The Wind in the Willows A Pattern Language - Towns, Buildings, Construction Books by Salman Rushdie, PG Wodehouse, Neville Shute, Malcolm Gladwell, Bill Bryson, Ruskin Bond, RK Narayan, Alexander McCall Smith, James Hardley Chase Read a lot of pop psychology, philosophy, and fiction. Also read WSJ, Economist, BW and my favourites - New York Times and National Geographic
Music ----- Jazz (Keiko Matsui), New Age (Sacred Spirits, Enya, Enigma), Oldies (70s,80s,90s), World music (Rai, French, Bollywood), Instrumental (Vanessa Mae, White Stones, Robert Miles, Vangelis), and lots more
Food ---- Thai (where's the nearest hydrant?), Sushi (here fishy, fishy) , Indian (Don't worry, have curry ), Mexican (windbreakers required), Ethiopian (I eat my plate?), British (can u make this blander?), Chinese (uh, don't ask)
Hit me (ouch! not physically you twit) if you dare to. Or don't.
First Date
Meet at Starbucks or Peets and see if we can hit it off over a cup of joe. If not, we both can pretend that we forgot to turn off the light in the refrigerator and head back to our respective homes..
